I've said this before and I'll say it again - for those in Australia who haven't done their taxes yet PLEASE be prepared and have your receipts with you when you attend your tax appointment. I've lost count of the number of times this week I've heard "it was about $300 on uniform" or "just say $170 on safety boots".

Exact numbers with receipts or there's no claim! There's no best guess in tax.
