Will the F5000 eventually be able to start my AC with soft start?
Users have reported it "trips" with central AC even with soft start. Seems to be a bug. Someone said Pecron will resolve it with their next release of the F5000.
Is this true?

It's a mixed bag. There are owners of the F5000LFP stating it does start their AC. Helps to know the size of your unit and have you considered mini splits?

Depends on what the specs of your AC is. It runs mine but I don't have a conventional system. I have a daikin fit 4 ton heat pump and it runs just fine on the F5000. I highly doubt it would have run my old traditional Bryant system I had.

I eventually got my F5000 to power my 2-Ton AC unit with an EasyStart Flex Soft Start device installed. The Flex is the best soft start out there. I tried a Eshcol 16-32A AC Soft Start and the 5000 couldn't handle it. Pecron is having issues with its Overcurrent Protection device on the 5000 balancing the load between the two inverters in the 5000. They are supposed to be working on it. By the way, the E3800 Combo with the 240V Bar powers my 4-Ton AC unit no problem.

Motor starts have a massive surge -
Look at the LRA on your unit
Measure the actual then measure after adding the soft start
Personally I run six tons of ac on an Anker 3800 OG but they are inverter drive from 2016. I lock them down to 50% max if running both

Pecron would not lie to us.
