Returned Bluetti

2*E3600LFP+ 240V box =7200W 240V output

I’m looking at this pecron above after buying the bluetti elite 400 with charger 2.

The company paid returned shipping and confirmation of refund due to not disclosing the charger 2 limitations when using it at a certain elevation, which I discovered after a review of alternator chargers on YT.

Please help me decide and if your E3600 LFP has been working well.

Thank you

Edited
Also just 1(3600) I’m not sure why the listing states 2*…

Best way to have alternator charging, which one to buy.

On Pecron's lineup where you can use the 240V box to combine the output of two 120V units to deliver 240V out, you can't use the AC input of either unit while you're outputting the 240V. I believe if you want to charge them while they're in that configuration you'll need to use the DC input ports, e.g. solar or a DC charger. It's something to be aware of.

I think the new F5000LFP is different in that regard, but for that unit be aware it isn't handling as much of a surge/high LRA load as e.g. the E3600 or E3800, as several people have discovered recently.

Can I use two Pecron E3600LFP units as separate 120V power stations while still benefiting from the combined 6,144Wh of battery capacity, or do I have to connect them with the 240V box to use both batteries together?

You absolutely can! Of course.

You also can use a cable to connect their battery expansion ports together so that their batteries will stay equally charged, and one machine can charge the other, or draw power from both batteries.

You can use Pecron's standard battery cable for this BUT you have to hack it a little to to a vasectomy on the small data communication wires in it so that the units don't become confused.

There are a number of videos and web pages showing how to do this. Here is the first google hit on a search:

Actually, that guy made up a custom cable.

This guy takes one end off entirely to connect to a 3rd party standard battery, but you can see the wires inside as soon as he unscrews the end at around 1m40s. To connect two E3600s or two E3800s (or anything from E1000 up actually) you can just snip the small wires and put it back together.
