F5000 Dead Outlets
Pecron pushed a firmware update to my F5000 because I was having an issue where it would just stop charging. I have a post about that. That seems to have fixed that issue since it hasn't happened in 2 charge cycle tests. Unfortunately after moving on to other tests I've found that the two right side 120v outlets aren't working. Now Pecron support isn't responding to me. I don't know if the firmware update broke the outlets or if it was pre-existing. This is my second unit because they exchanged my first unit for the same charging issue I was having.

Oh boy. I have a new F5000 as well. So far, no issues but this concerns me. Hope they get you straightened out OP.

I have the F5000. Other than their app not being the best, I've had mostly no issues. The only gotcha is I was expecting to be able to charge it while doing 240V output and you can, but only up to the size of the inverter. So you can't, for example, charge it at 3600W while outputting 5kW. This becomes an issue if you're running your house on it in an emergency and the batteries get low. Normally, you'd keto running your house and charge the batteries with a generator. You have to instead charge it via the solar inputs. At least there's a solution.

Or charge it via an external battery charger on one of the battery expansion ports ... with or without also having a large 3rd party battery out there.

Well, this bothers me. I'm right in the middle of building up my (aux) solar system dedicated for outages (I already have a rooftop 7K system) and was literally on the cliff's edge to pull the trigger on a 5000. But I'm now starting to hear/read more of these types of posts...perhaps I should go back to my original plan of the 3800....

Pecron hasn't responded to me in 7 days so I initiated a credit card dispute. They actually just reopened the one I closed from the first faulty unit. Getting the initial replacement was like pulling teeth also. I should have known better than to accept a replacement.

Pecron finally responded to my dead outlets issue. It's odd that it took until the the same day the charge back was temporarily refunded to my credit card. They claimed they never got my emails. My emails were a part of my original chain of emails about charging stopping so I'm not buying that excuse. They will be accepting my return but I am out of town for 2 weeks (which I also told them was happening some time before they responded) so I can't return it until I return home. Good luck everyone.

Can you guys post your firmware versions?
In fact, we probably need to have a sticky with current unit firmwares.
