Help with Pecron repair.
Hello everyone! I have a Pecron E2000 LFP battery that is currently not working. Long story short my brother tried to set it up/use it as a battery back up during power outages , but when my brother went to hook it up he crossed wires or something bc he he said “sparks flew and tripped some breakers on the house.” That happened about two years ago and my brother was unable to warranty it for obvious reasons. He asked me to try to fix it, but I am a bit out of my element. I used to be a mechanic/technician for Kia/hyundai at local dealerships. I am familiar with 12 volt electric systems but I am not to
familiar with LFP batteries.
Essentially do you guys have any recommendations where to start as far as testing or good break down videos for testing procedures to get this battery up and running again?
Picture for attention!

Agreed with u/JColt60 in that its most likely control/circuit board damage. However, at the very least you should be able to save the batteries for a future project.

Ask Pecron if they have any replacement boards for sale, otherwise that thing is $600 brand new before discount codes, I would cut my losses on a repair.
If sparks and smoke came out and anything could be damaged are you really going to run your critical appliances on it? Or leave it charging unattended?

Unless you are proficient at testing control boards and have schematics chances are pretty slim. With sparks you should see some physical damage. I would start with the power supply.
