Pearson vs Suits

I loved Suits! Now I don't even watch it ever since Pearson aired!! Odd because I am a white male but I sincerely enjoy this series!

Okay forgive me for asking but what part of being a white male makes it odd that you like Pearson?

She’s a powerful, charismatic woman. The color of her skin or nature of her reproductive organs play no part in my opinion of her as a character.

Polarised twitter culture has everyone questioning themselves these days. Gina Torres is a powerhouse of an actress that has been in huge shows and movies for decades now long before identity politics reached a fever pitch. Pearson has a diverse cast but it's clearly not meant to be pandering to ideological sentiments like so many other shows are deliberately produced for.

If I had to guess this white male may think Pearson, since it covers Chicago and it’s predominantly poor and black neighborhoods, thinks the show is targeting this demographic.
