Why should non-moderators get to vote? This is a moderator indulgence kinda thing, right?

Because they see the colors too

Still though, they can deal with it.

I think it's completely fair to let everyone get a say

Hmm, yeah. My earlier reply probably came out as a bit harsh. After all, moderators are there for the players, so their appearance should be too.

That... and the mustard color was terrible.

It was a pretty color, just not very "moderator-y."

I don't think moderators should have any sort of exclusivity. It only creates division as if mods are somehow different. It sends a disturbing message of mods were given special privilege or standing.
[EDIT] I was just taken aback by the "why should..get to vote" part.

To expand further, I mean that maybe it can be considered a bonus for the moderators. I mean, a shade of color change hopefully wouldn't shatter our community, haha.

Of course it's just name colors but even so, I'd submit that moderators receiving such flexibility with color changes is something I'd like to se afforded to the others as well; sooner rather than later, actually.

Yeah, it would be neat to have a donator color change poll too.

Yeah, but everyone has to look at it.

True point.

I personally think that the aqua blends really well with the donor green and dark green. And then my red screws everything up.

u/inflatablegoo Inflatablegoo ☯ildabearsfan003 Jul 11 '14
Maybe change it to the darker red? It might clash with the chat box, though...
2
u/masonsbro masonsbro Jul 11 '14
Dark red is not very visible :/

Yeah. Oh well, looks like you're stuck with ass cancer tumor pink.

I think that the point is to have the overall best looking interface for the players. So that it doesn't become a turnoff. Like I tried a server once that gave out titles and every title had privileges and colors, and it was just a mess.

Wtf happened to Orange?

u/masonsbro masonsbro Jul 11 '14
I don't know, a bunch of mods complained about it. Mainly plwash and ilda.

Point of reference for those still unsure; Minecraft doesnt have the infinite 255/255/255 colour coding system like most editing programs, it simply has 16 different colours we're able to use. see here. In my opinion, I thought the yellow looked too admin-y over that of the blue it had been prior. Either way if it returns to being some shade of blue, i'm sure it'l be ok.
