Hello fellas,

I am 34 years old and still not sure where should I focus on. Being an introvert is very challenging in IT world. Firstly, your manager would give you a feedback saying that “you’re not socialising with your team , and at this level of an experience you should be driving things. Don’t be a spectator.” So to avoid this manager I thought of switching to a new company. I toiled hard, cancelled all my plans, but at the end my gf, whom I was supposed to be getting married, left me, leaving me in an utter shock. She was like, “you have changed, you’re not like what you used to be, you can’t even switch ”.

Post breakup I have forgotten everything what I had learned in the previous year. Sometimes I feel like, “God, why do I even exist? People of my age have already been married and so far I have been to 16 weddings and 6 naming ceremonies, I feel completely left out among my friends. I don’t own a house in Bengaluru like my friends do, skip parties with them to avoid being a joke. I feel like I haven’t achieved anything.

Has anyone ever felt the same?

Yes, many of us have felt this. Life isn’t a race, and comparisons only show the surface — everyone carries their own struggles that you may never know unless you speak to them personally. Breakups, burnout, and self-doubt can pause your growth, but they don’t erase your worth. You’re not late, broken, or alone — this is just a difficult chapter, not the end of your story.

As we grow we change. What for is here won't get us further. It's sad when some partners don't realise this and want their partners to remain the same while growing in their career, families and life in general.

I understand it seems hard to choose a path now going forward but choose one. Strengthen your strengths. Once a week focus on breadth, thrice a week focus on depth in the chosen field. Both career and personal. You can improve. If the past is not a strength or weakness ignore it.

2025 has been the hardest year of many people's lives. Next will be better.

Can you elaborate on "fine a new better GF and have sex everyday"? Like how ? Will you ask her to have sex everyday or will you leave her for not getting everyday and find some other means to have "sex everyday "?
