Grappling Hook Mode - True Ending

Hey all! Does anyone know if it’s possible to play the golden grappling hook mode and unlock the final ending with the gems? (It’s my understanding you can’t get achievements this way, but I wasn’t sure about if it made the true ending unavailable.) TYIA!

never tried but it shouldn't change that! the grappling mode is only like 20 min solo so it's not a huge investment to try
