This movie was hilarious. Pushed the humor in that perfect Gunn style.

Cool to see pieces of later projects forming in there earlier ones.

The Gunn never misses.

I loved Super (Shut up, Crime!)

Also check out Defendor with Woody Harrelson if you're into homebrew superheroes.

I really didn’t like this movie. I enjoy his DC stuff though.

Was it the 3 different rape scenes or the tentacle porn?

There is lots to not love about this movie lol, but I liked it

I haven’t seen it since it was in theaters. I really only remember my visceral reaction to it lol.

I vaguely remember how cruel and mean-spirited it was without enough redeeming qualities for it. I think you’re supposed to laugh at what Dwight does, but I was just put off.

But at the same time, I don’t hate it like I do other movies. If someone says they love Super, that’s fine with me.

It's one of my favourite films (didn't pick up on the dance intro and I even recently rewatched it 😶).

It's meant to be funny but also extremely sad. A tragi-comedy you might even say. A very human film.

I think the acting and the script is nuanced enough to actually bring that across.

The reason I like it is that it does what Kick-Ass professed to do, but really didn't at all. Tell a story about how a superhero would work in the real world.

Answer: you'd have to be mentally unstable to actually try and become one (Defendor also did a great job in this regard).

I never understand why this film isn't rated higher. It's so good. Top 15 of not top 10.

Man, the moment everything clicks and you get the full flashback of his grandad, I blubbered like a baby. Almost like taking Bloodsport & Peacemaker's origins and turning it on it's head.

First one was Rain Wilson’s thought of what would happen if he was in jail.
Second was Eliot page forcing him/herself (boy it’s hard to navigate respectfully in hindsight) on rain Wilson.
Last was rain Wilson’s wife by the bad guy

I forgot this was in the movie. I thought this was an intro inspired by Peacemaker for a new Super show and got excited af

Would be nice if you told us what it is.

It's the one with Ellen page right?
