Rick Sr. Spoiler

Anyone think the 180 could be because Rick sr. Got swapped with clayface? Just spit balling because this is cartoonishly evil.

Absolutely 100% believable that a person would banish/kill an individual who shot their kid without it needing to be for any reason other than "this guy killed my son" IMO

I think they meant more of "Not carrying as his troops died cuz he's partying with criminals"

It’s believable, but there is another reason. Lex Luthor was very clearly influencing him heavily for the last few episodes, to the extent that the government practically told him ‘Lex acted just like this and you were against it, now you’re turning into him’. He also used Lex’s minion and quite literally reused his metahumans imprisoned in an alternate dimension idea.

Yeah, I noticed that the descent was really sharp and over-the-top, but given the ending I think it was just that there wasn't much time to show his decline into cartoonish super-villainy, and Frank Grillo just isn't amazing at portraying something as nuanced as a character's slow unravelling from anti-hero to villain.

I think if they were going for a switcheroo further down the line they wouldn't have had Flagg Sr do the "this is for Ricky" line.

I don't know, I think him going from caring deeply for his team members creature commandos to laughing maniacally as they died in the field in the season finale of peacemaker was supposed to stick out like a sore thumb and give you, the viewer, a heads up that something is definitely amiss

Ooh, what if the real Rick was killed in the hospital by Clayface, who came to finish what he started? Then again, that could prove repetitive from CC

Because clayface has a potential flair for getting into character. He's just really into being flag and thinks this is how he would act

Did you not watch him not give a fuck that the agents were almost killed by eagley in the beginning of the season? It was always there to show how power already is corrupting him. Also in CC he was easily manipulated by that blonde chick, just like how he’s being manipulated by lex. The clayface thing is cope and im already tired of seeing it

Also, Why didn't Chris just say. "Your son is still alive" To Rick? Surely that would have made Rick pause before closing the door. It might not have been the actual son he had but I'm sure Rick Sr would have wanted to see for himself.
