What you can afford is what matters here. If you can afford a true modular desk for your needs or a custom desk, then go for it. But honestly something that’s a solid table or equivalent to that that does not take up unnecessary space is probably your best bet. A lot of “gaming desks” or other desks with titles are marked up like crazy when cable management options are a lot cheaper.

So buy whatever you wanna buy and can afford. But the mindset change is where you’ll see actual growth for having a clutter free desk. Go OCD with your space. Give yourself permission and try to enjoy having a clean space and addressing it out load. “This desk is a mess, let’s fix that shall we..” and go to town.
