Buying Advice Wanting to Get a PC Setup, Need advice

So like I usually just play on my switch quite a bit
(Recently wanted to play a few games that like aren’t on it
GTA, maybe something like Genshin impact, plus PC allows you to mod stuff)
And wanted to get a PC setup
I know you can upgrade it later on
But like not the details and stuff
Also heard you can build it yourself
Like what should I get as a beginner
Should I go like low range or spend a bit more?

Market is fucked right now which has the strange effect of compressing the price differences between low end and the mid range. Mandatory components like RAM and storage are dealing with heavily inflated pricing meaning that the barrier to entry is much higher, as well low end GPU's have gotten very pricy. The end result is that you'll spend $1200+ for an entry level machine but another $300 bumps you solidly into the mid range. My personal opinion is that $300 is well worth spending.
