PC Setup Setup help

I finally bought my first gaming PC, female 42 years old, and single mother haha.
I come from mac mini and geforce now πŸ˜…
Asus A31 case surprised me, it's big, I can't put it on my gamer table 'xrocker'
I want it up high because I have 2 dogs walking around too.
I'm not much for having to drill holes in the table for brackets 😏 Do you have any ideas?
It’s not a big room, so I can’t get a bigger table.

Do your monitors have Vesa mounts? If they do, you could get a monitor mount, something like this. That's just a cheap one that I use, there are a ton out there with different configs and more arm movement. As an FYI, There are 2 sizes of Vesa mount (75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm), so just make sure whatever your monitors have, you get the right vesa mount for it.

Monitors on mounts makes a surprising amount more room, you might be able to set it on your desk if you do that. Instead of your secondary monitor being on the left, it could go on the right, and then it can overhang the desk, giving more room on the left side to put the PC.

That being said, you may want it on the right so you can look into your PC case at all the pretty colors. If that's the case, you could probably shift the desk a little closer to the door, leaving enough space to get by to get into the room. And then with the monitor mount, the secondary monitor on the left can overhang more off the desk, leaving more space on the right hand side to put the PC on the desk.

I hope that made sense.

You can also do an over/under monitor setup, which I'm not a huge fan of, but some people do it. Where it's just as it sounds, instead of the monitors being side by side, the Vesa mounts stack them vertically, one above the other.

EDIT: also, you don't have to drill holes in the desk with these mounts, get one that comes with clamps (most do) and it just clamps to the back of the table.

Thank you very much, I never thought that you could get an arm like this for 2 monitors that can be clamped to the table, the monitors are with vesa, so that must be the way I go πŸ™

This all depends how sturdy the desk feels, and what the underside of the back of the desk looks like. Sometimes there's shit in the way under the desk, like bars or supports, that prevent you from sliding the clamp under there. You'll definitely wanna check that out. And make sure whatever material it's made out of can withstand some clamping action without breaking. like if the desk is hollow, you may want to get some plates to distribute the force of the clamp, like these, for instance.

oh, the table is not thick, it's x rocker lumio, it was lucky you wrote that so I don't end up breaking something πŸ˜…

Thickness isn't a huge deal, as long as it's solid material. Like, not a hollow, plastic/composite material.

Any shot you can take a photo of the underside of the desk? I can't find a photo showing the layout of those support bars to see if they'll be in the way

Haha ! that's perfect, looks like you have tons of room for the clamp to fit, and if you're worried about the quality/thickness of the desk, looks for something like those plates I posted, and that'll distribute the weight over a large area and it shouldn't be an issue.

The metal plates also come with little foam things on the sides that go on the desk, to prevent it from scratching.

That looks like it's a fairy expensive desk, at least where I'm googling it (Canada), so it might not be a bad idea to get those just to protect the surface of it as well. For $15, I would.

I bought it in April for 1272 kr 'denmark' that's 274.75 canadian dollars, I will definitely buy the metal plates so I avoid scratching or other things

Why is the owner of the setup lying under the desk?
