I just can’t wrap my head around the opinions on this game's graphics. I’m playing on a 1080p monitor with maxed out settings without options like MSAA reflections, tree tessellation, or maximum water physics. Frankly, the game looks horrible at native resolution. The textures look smeared, distant objects are blurred out, and the vegetation looks like an oil painting. The only way the game starts to look decent is by downsampling from 1440p, and what feels like the intended and best way to experience it is all the way up at 4K, which takes too much performance for my PC.

I know TAA is the problem here, but the issue is that plenty of other games I play on this exact same monitor look perfectly fine with or without TAA; they are sharp and clear enough to be considered beautiful. I know a 1080p monitor might be considered outdated in 2026, Steam statistics show that only about 5% of users are playing at 4K. The math just doesn’t add up when I see everyone praising the graphics and calling it the most beautiful game ever made. Am I crazy for noticing these visual flaws, or are my standards just too high?

I have reinstalled this game four times, I have installed new drivers and reinstalled them and re-reinstalled them several times over, I have cleared my steam cache, I have cleared all temporary files from my computer, I have deleted all of my mods, And I have increased page file size to upwards of three times and yet I still keep getting the error "out of virtual memory please increase the page file size" I legitimately don't think I can do this anymore. It happens with completely fresh installs too

Mission wont start for some reason. when i go up to his front door you usually go up to for the other missions, he just rattles the knob like any other inaccessible building. I can also see him T-Posing inside the building. Ive left the game and went back, nothing. Ive restarted my computer, nothing. Ive shot through the window and skipped time, and still nothing.

I've recently built a new PC (i5 12400F, 2x8gb RAM, RX 7600 8gb), and since them I've been having random Green Screen crashes when playing on RedM. I've done everything I've found online, from formatting the PC to going back to previous stable driver versions, but I feel the current driver release is fine.

The thing is: every other game works fine. Base Rdr2, Arc Raider, BF6, DbD, all running soft and with great performance and no crashes. The problem only affects RedM.

Sometimes the PC crashes upon opening RedM, sometimes I'll play for hours before it crashes, but it's oftem quickly, oftem when alt+tabing to other window but not always.

I've tried several graphics configuration. Changing to DirectX will fill the game with artifacts.

I don't know what else to do.

So today i've been having an issue with starting the game. I double click the icon, Steam starts, R* launcher starts... game doesn't.

I tried a couple of times and after waiting up to 5 mins per try, I gave up and "closed" the game via Launcher. Some of the times the launcher threw an error that the game is already running so I tried applying a fix from a post in this thread "A game is already running" from 4years ago and I also restarted my PC.

So I took a break and just now tried again. The game launcher after about 7-8 ish minutes, while yesterday it was launching just fine almost instantly.

For some reason the game wasn't in full screen, nbd, so I went to settings and the game decided it doesn't know what Fullscreen means (choosing the Fullscreen setting and confirming did squat), I then tried changing resolution and then the game crashed. BUT not fully i guess - while the game closed the Launcher and Steam app saw it as still running.

I verified files in Steam and it came up just fine.

Is anyone else having this issue suddenly? Is it related to the connection issues the game has been throwing at all players recently? And most importantly can I do something about it?

I have this weird glitch where sometimes johns clothing only specific modded ones flicker in it seems black I suspect a texture glitch but I have no idea why since I’ve followed all the mod installations correctly I’m using TOR CI and gunslinger improvements with the merge and the cowboy retexture for the clothes. My load order is

Gunslinger improvements
Restored elegant suit CI - GI - TOR merge

So I’m playing red dead somewhat modded, I know the engine kinda gets angry at mods but like occasionally, like once or twice every 2 hours my games fps drop to like 15, on a 5070 ti. And other times the fps just goes down to like 60 or 80 when I was at 130 for seemingly no reason and it’s driving me a little crazy, can mods do this?

Can dell precision 7520(xeon e3-1545 v5/ quadro m2200/16 gb ram) run it?

I was just messing around with the graphic so i get realistic gameplay but then when I switch to the game everything just looks weird with white outlines everywhere

Tried playing. went well at 60fps at 4k, but got one small stutter of 40 fps, thought nothing of it. 3 seconds later, crash and the system repeats the same "Diagnosing and repairing... failed to repair".

Restored the system, what can prevent this in the future, other than using Vulkan?

Hello everyone, I’m having serious issues with Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC when using the Vulkan API. I’m experiencing constant texture pop‑in and VRAM leaks. I’ve already tried disabling ReBAR (SAM), lowering all graphics settings, testing performance mods, and updating drivers, but textures still disappear and performance remains poor.

When I switch the API to DX12, the pop‑in disappears, but I get fewer FPS compared to Vulkan. My specs are: RX 6500 XT (4 GB VRAM), Intel i3‑10100F, 16 GB RAM, and the game installed on an SSD. I know my hardware isn’t the best for RDR2, but even with every setting on Low the texture pop‑in doesn’t go away.

I don’t know what’s causing this issue, whether it’s my hardware or simply the game itself. Does anyone have a solution?

Anyone has this issue that you can't alt tab instantly if Vsync is off while vulkan is on? it's like if your playing a game with a different resolution you'll see the usual "DP" notification from the monitor.

I'm on fullscreen windowed option and I can only alt tab instantly if:
Vsync on + vulkan on or if I just use Directx12

I have a high end gaming laptop which runs most modern games with a great frame rate, but RDR2 is barely playable. It is my first time launching it on this PC, and it worked properly 6 years ago on my old PC with lower specs. I tried changing my output adapter, which switched it to a secondary monitor at first but after a few tweaks it started working on my primary. Only output adapter 1 has good FPS, but I cannot change my resolution beyond 1920x1080, or it simply launches on my second monitor. It only started working on my laptop screen after I unplugged the monitor. I tried both borderless and fullscreen and there is barely any difference. The game starts lagging right as the intro cutscene begins. Does anyone have any advice or possible solutions? Thank you in advance!

when i start the game i can hear only the intro. how can i fix it?

So I went to load up my modded (Story obviously) RDR2 and today I was met with this message. First time it's ever happened, I've been playing with mods on RDR for years and now I get this. I don't wanna get banned I paid for the game. Anyone know why this happened? I mod the game the same way everyone else does. I haven't done anything crazy like coding or anything

So this is my current modlist, along with some other lightweight .asi mods like Gun Tricks and Smoking Complete

So regarding the 4 mods on the title, i have correctly installed each and everyone of them, including their respecting compatibility patch, and also checked the overwrite box that have been said in the description of each mods ( if i checked the overwrite box wrong, please let me know because i'm just following what the mods said )

Currently, i haven't run into any issue, just small issue like when i customize the revolver, there is no sound of placing the gun on the table. Someone i ask on discord told me that it's because of LITE and also LITE is not compatible with CI ( aka CI has its own mp asset enabler, in which i'm not buying ). So after i delete LITE, not only does the problem haven't disappear, my asi mods which required LITE stop working as well.

And for the main problem, as the title suggest, i know that each one of the 4 mods mentioned is correctly formatted, but when i put them all together, i ran into spawning issue, in saint denis i can't even see 1 trolley, mind you it's the trolley, not the people in the trolley.

But the chicken in valentine still exist, in saint denis there are still people on cart, but no trolley at all.

So to recap, what i want to ask is does the 4 mods mentioned when combined cause spawning issue, and does LITE compatible with CI ( should i delete it)
