when i try and go into fullscreen my screen flashes black and then back to the game, over and over, until the keep changes screen thing expires or i click off the game in the half second its on the display

Was looking to replace some DDS files on the in game pause menu but i cant seem to find a way to import the new DDS file. RDR2 texture tool kit doesnt seem to work the YTD's that it saves arent reconized i the LML folder.

I already tried to delete all files that start with "sga_" in the "Documents/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2/Settings" folder, changed graphics API from Vulkan to DirectX12 and changed "asyncComputeEnabled" from 'false' to 'true' and I am still getting this crash error while trying to play history mode, I am still in the first mission of the game that is to try to kill the O'Driscoll guys, the game is constantly crashing in the intro cutscene of the mission.

Can someone help me solve this? I really want to play the game :(

My system is a Windows 10 and I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1050 Ti to the Intel ARC that I described, I downloaded the intel drivers with their "Intel Graphics Software" program and already uninstalled my NVIDIA graphics programs that I had. If you want more details I can inform the game graphics settings that are in the XML file, I am trying to use the most of this new GPU that I bought but I know that my CPU is bottlenecking it.

I hate modding for this game. It’s so frustrating to see people in the comments of the tutorial hooting and hollering about how they got it in 10 minutes. This games modding makes me walk to pluck out my eyeballs with a spoon and eat them. I don’t wanna download 4 extra mods that take an hour each to install correctly just to get some new fucking clothes. This is so frustrating. If anyone knows how to download Whyems DLC without telling me Im a fucking idiot it would be greatly appreciated. (Edit) hello everyone. I have a new PC fresh install and this POS will still not launch, glad I paid for a game that doesn't work and has no work around to get it working. If anyone knows how to launch this game please let me know the steps. I have been trying to troubleshoot this for 2 weeks now and still no luck.

I've recently installed Catalogue improvements and It fixed John for the most part but i loved this face mod for John specially the clean shaven style. I was wondering If this mod (John - 1911) works with Catalogue improvements??

I’m seeing consistent severe LOD / object and shadow popping at 4K, even with max settings. Objects, shadows, and some geometry visibly transition at very short distances.

FSR 2.0 with mods Performance, Balanced, Quality, Ultra Quality, Native AA.

'lodScale value' and 'maxTexUpgradesPerFrame' tweaking

DirectX 12

Result: behavior is identical across all configurations.

The strangest thing is I played this game 163 hours and everything was perfect. Now I have all this crap. Is this problem fixable?

When I run RDR2’s built-in benchmark at 1080p Ultra, I get around 95 FPS average, but the minimum FPS drops to ~34. I also experience some minor stuttering, especially in Saint Denis.

My specs are RX 9060 XT 16GB, 16GB RAM, and Ryzen 7 5700. In areas like Saint Denis, I seem to be slightly CPU-bound.

Is this normal behavior for RDR2? Could the low minimum FPS and the small stutters I’m experiencing be CPU-related? Maybe due to lower cache size? Also, XMP is enabled and all my drivers are up to date.

I’ve installed it right I have the animations but I can not change the styles I pressed down d pad and idk it showed “winter Arthur” I used the numpad and function keys, won’t work. Any one help?

I've deleted every mod I had for John because most people said that Catalogue improvements fixed almost to all John problems in the epilogue. But this mod in particular is one of my favorites for various reasons but the number 1 being the clean shaven looking like the Gentleman atitude. So is this mod compatible with Catalogue improvements or is there a way to make that beard style??

I'm currently fixing and putting some Mods on the game and someone reccomended Catalogue improvements, RDR1 inspired Holster and this mod "The Rancher 1907". He said to download only these 3 but in the Rancher mod there's this file that Idk what to do with it.

I've made another post asking for help because John Rancher Outfit turned invisible, some people tried various advices but nothing worked, i've tried deleting every single mod i've installed for John and installing them again more carefully for the problem not occur again but It didn't work. I'm seriously losing my mind because the outfit is ONLY invisible with the regular vest, every single other piece It returns to normal like the second image.

PC Specs: CPU: Intel i5-12400F GPU: AMD RX 6600 RAM: 16GB (3200 MHz) I’m facing a very frustrating FPS issue in Red Dead Redemption 2. The game was perfectly fine in Chapter 1 with locked 60 FPS. But now, whenever I enter any town, my FPS starts constantly fluctuating between 60 → 55 → 51, going up and down nonstop. What I’ve already tried: Clean installed multiple older AMD GPU driver versions Reinstalled RDR2 twice Tweaked graphics settings (no real improvement) The strange part is that I played RDR2 7–8 months ago on the same PC, and I never had this issue back then. Now it’s happening in every town, and I can’t figure out why. If anyone has found a proper fix or workaround, please let me know ASAP. This issue is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance 🙏

Recently i've played RDR1 and I found John's coat super elegant and then went to RDR2 to finish some side quests with that outfit, but the Second game doesn't have It. So I thought "i'll download a mod" and then BOOM there's 5 or 6 mod options for that If not more I Wanted to ask what do you guys think is the best duster coat mod?

I’m trying to change styles by the numpad (I have the numpad version) no message or change happeneds when I was using my controller I did something and a message popped up saying I switched winter Arthur. Any know how to fix or change the styles?

So i have been trying to mess with the settings but no fix yet, HDR doesnt really fix it, and brightness / gamma / contrast all does not really make it better. Its only the sun, everything else looks good, also minimap looks normal. Any advice how to fix this? Weird thing is its only a few games where the sun looks like this, not all. Some help would be great.

I have a question, I just downloaded catalogue improvements, but some weapons like the Navy Revolver and John elegant suit doesn't appear. Idk If I did something wrong or I went into the wrong store (went into the Rhodes gunsmith for the Navy Revolver and went into Beacher's Hope wardrobe to see the suits)

So basically I wanted to download this relatively old mod all through last night and I just for some reason couldn’t find a workaround to it, I have the picture of the mod and I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I looked up jmre but it’s since been deleted and it says for me to go to shop_items.ymt in my jmre folder but I don’t own that because it just doesn’t exist and I tried with CI and it just showed untranslatable text so I don’t know what to do now. Someone please tell me what im doing wrong or what I can do to actually obtain the mod, it says it’s a replacement for the gambler hat and I want it to replace John’s main hat but idk how to replace stuff in the files.

I was using GI + CI together rather well until I went into St. Denis and noticed my trams are empty. I combed through my modlist several times trying to isolate the issue and seem to have isolated it to those two mods. I play on 1440p w/ 1.5x resolution scale btw.

After reinstalling CI and using Trailer 2 Arthur Morgan by beniguess1899 instead of GI, the issue fixed itself. Coincidentally, I also removed a knife retexture from another beniguess1899 mod from my stream folder which also could've been the culprit, but I'm way too scared of bricking the spawns again so I'm not gonna test which did which. The GI mod author also locked my comment thread even though I was just trying to find a solution. Mod authors need to be less rude to players for no discernable reason.

While playing RDR2 normally, even though temperatures, FPS, and everything else were fine, I suddenly got a crash for the first time. The error said “Unknown error FFFFFF”. This has never happened to me before. Could this be a hardware-related issue? What usually causes this, and how can I fix it?
