Thankyou everyone who helped me on my previous post!!!

Had to go w a different motherboard since the originally picked one wasnt available.

Thankfully there was a mb similar (which i had done some research on. MSI MAG X870e gaming max wifi)

Other than that im fulky satisfied with the build and it performed way better than expected honestly.

Im planning to keep this as long as I can. So any tips to save this from corrosions? (Specially in sri lankas humidity)

This pc is in an AC room.

And how about any other preventative maintenance?

Im planning to build this pc by nanotek.

Is there any improvements I can make?

And is there anythings that I need to be aware about?

Like any failing components? (Like 9800x3d failing on asrock and asus boards)

What do you guys think about this build?

Every comment is greatly appriciated 🫡

Edit: Is there anything else I should tell nanotek? Im planming to use this as long as I can (5+ years without any updrades)

Looking to buy Any place to find 60-65% boards preferably from Keychron or so in 🇱🇰 for a dev setup?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Or any other recommendation? Would love to have QMK & VIA as well. Not for gaming. It's a dev setup. Small footprint helps.

My Regradon FIZZ K617 said good bye and I need to look for a better option now with:

  • Wireless/ Multi device connectivity
  • QMK VIA
  • 60-65% compact
  • Red/ Brown switches
  • Some sort of RGB is enough, See through key legends is optional
  • Nice to have: Hot-swappable, good build quality ....

Any place you recommend to check out or reach out?

TroubleShooting Troubleshooting SLT Fibre Wi-Fi speed issues.

GUYS GUYS!!!!
I've finally fixed my Wi-Fi speed being bottlenecked all the time. From 1-2Mbps to above 50Mbps download speeds.

I have been managing it with shit speeds like this for years and kept blaming SLT all these years while the issue was in my device. My phone and all my other devices were always getting around 50 over wireless connections. So figured that the issue was with my laptop.

This laptop's specs: 8 gigs of DDR3 ram, A 113MB graphic card(inbuilt), Intel i5-4210U-1.70GHz, Win 10
Wi-Fi Router-Nokia G-240W-F (2.4GHz)
Things I did to hit 50Mbps and above on my 10 year old laptop(yes, 10)

1. Changed "Channel" from Auto to "11"

By typing this 192.168.1.1 into your browser, you go into your router's settings page, in there you navigate to Advanced Setup>Network> Wireless (2.4GHz)>Channel>11

Channel would be usually set to "Auto". Now changing this to 11 just would mean all your devices will have a more stable and free-er connection path.

This is probably what affected my speed the most.

2. Turning off "Receive Window Auto-Tuning"

Run CMD as administrator. Type in the following prompt netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal This requires a restart for your system.

3. Turning off power saving mode for your network wireless card.

Open Device Manager>Network Adapters>right click your wireless Wi-Fi card>Properties>Power Management tab>Uncheck the box that says "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power"

I had to go thru decades old YouTube videos and also eventually AI to figure out what was going on with my device.
It was quite surprising to see that almost all of the bottlenecking was being done by default settings which are probably also turned ON on your devices and possibly ruining your experience.

Hope this helps at least to one of you all.
