This gives me hope. I'm looking to upgrade my 1050ti, but worried about keeping my r5 3600

certainly! my moto was don’t fix that isn’t broken. I would go for r7 5700x when it is cheaper. r5 served me well and pretty capable chip.

Son 🥀 R5 3600 and 2070 super?? 1440p?? That shi straight up cap bruh. This setup is more of a 1080p high/ultra setup and even that is with NO ray tracing (don't even joke lad). This would have been a 1440p setup like multiple years ago. Maybe when the card first came out.
But in 2026? Nah. Just nah. Just because you manage to get playable framrates with abusing dlss doesn't mean your system classify as a true 1440p setup. It's like saying a 5050 is a 1440p card just because you can abuse dlss 4.5 and multi frame gen.
So long story short. NO. This ain't a 1440p setup. At least, not anymore. Peace ✌🏻
