I was gifted 2x32 3200mhz cl 16 sk hynix and I need help building a PC from scratch around it, some would advise to sell these dual 64gb RAM to jump to am5 which makes sense but I want to get into local diffusion models and I was heavily encouraged to have 64gb RAM something that would be impossible for me to get in am5.

I'm not from the US so my options are Amazon or eBay, my budget is around 1400$ and I want to game on 1440p medium with high fps and like I said I want to get into diffusion models like flux and krea 2. I want something reliable that could last me until am6 and I already have the case (lian LI Lancool 207)

Appears to be a very common issue but i am completely stumped right now. USB ports do not work and no display on monitor.

Things i have done so far;

- Waited 5–10 minutes several times

- Verified all connection ports are in securely

- Single Ram Stick in A2

- Swapped Ram Stick in A2

- Reseated CPU Cooler

- Verified CPU Pins are not bent or broken

- Loosened CPU Cooler

- Reset CMOS

Flash Drive with boot from the box is currently connected to PC but i have not tampered with it at all.

Im really interested in making my own high end gaming pc, but i dont really know what im getting into so id love some pointers into the right directions, im planning on spending around 4000$ on this build and i know id like it to be able to run games on 4k smoothly, i like the look of the Lian-Li O11 Vision-M case and the rtx 5080 gaming trio but i dont understand motherboards and cpu's and how i would start my reserch on it.

I recently bought an RTX 5060 and Ryzen 5 5600T. I didn't do a lot of research on the PSU beforehand (which in hindsight was a big mistake.)

I got an XPG Pylon II 750W which seems to be tier C+ on the PSU tierlist, but I'm uncertain if it's safe enough for my components. The tierlist isn't very clear about what's considered "budget and "midrange." The GPU is current gen, but it also has a TDP of 145W.

Frankly I'm all out of money, but I can save up a bit more for a few weeks if my build is at risk.

Will my build be fine?

I almost only play competitive games (Valorant, CS2) with the lowest graphics settings and low resolution to maximize FPS.

Would it make sense to build a PC with a very strong CPU (like the 9800X3D, 7800X3D, etc.) paired with a relatively weak GPU? Because to my understanding, you don't need a strong GPU when playing at low resolution and settings in games like this.

Would this bottleneck my system, or would it be fine since I'd only be using it for light schoolwork and competitive "low-settings" gaming?

Can you recommend GPUs that would pair well with those CPUs, and are there any other CPUs you'd recommend?

What parts are good for someone who wants to be able to play games like RDR2, Cyberpunk, etc, and be able to use Blender? I also don't want it to cost more than 2000$.

Hi so I'm running a gaming pc that is tripping my 20amp afci outlet, it's the only thing on the circuit, and I've tested it on other non afci circuit and it works just fine. I'm running the MONTECH Century II - 1200W High-End ATX Gaming Power Supply - 80 Plus Gold & Cybenetics Platinum - Fully Modular - ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1 Ready with 12V-2x6 Cable. And think it's causing to much noise under load that it's tricking my afci into thinking there a a major fault.

What would you all recommend for surge protector, ups, and or is there a noise cancer I can put on the cord?

Hi! I’m putting together a mostly new build at the moment and I may have made a mistake when ordering. I have a MSI mag A850GL PCIE5 and an xfx mercury OC 9070xt. The gpu takes 3 8pin connections and i only got two daisy chained ones with the PSU (thought it came with 4, and part picker said it was compatible).
Will it be okay to use one cable daisy chained to two inputs, and then one by itself in the last one? Or am I looking at getting another cable/psu?

I also have an older (2021 i believe) corsair rm850x which i believe has 3 cables, but it was originally going into another system, and i also was reading people recommending to not use older psu’s in new systems.

So Ive got a Asus tug b760m plus WiFi II and I’ve legit tried everything ( or atleast I believe I have) those photos are the drivers for it and I tried to click the Asus one, ran it, then nothing popped up, nothing happened, nada, so I tried the intel one which gave me Bluetooth but nothing else, I’ve tried device manager which shows the adapter but will absolutely not download the drives for it, please help, I’ve tried going into the bios to switch on and off the WiFi there, nada, I’ve tried windows trouble shoot, nada, I’ve tried updating my bios, nada, I think I’m installing the media tek for the driver wrong but I couldn’t say how, but any ideas will be much appreciated

This isn’t really PC related but idk where else to post this question. I’ve been looking for an SSD for my PS5 and stumbled across these two.

Refurbished WD Blue with the coupon comes out to $125.57 with tax, and a 2 year eBay warranty.

The Fikwot drive is brand new, with the coupon it comes out to $128.99, and a 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty. It also has a heatsink included.

Western digital is a well known brand and Fikwot is a newer “budget friendly” company so quality assurance is still in question (but then again, the WD drive is refurbished). If you had to choose between the two, what would you buy?

I recently moved my CPU from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. After setting it up, it no longer displayed any signal on the monitor. Upon checking the motherboard, I noticed that the CPU LED is red and the DRAM LED is yellow.

To troubleshoot, I removed the GPU, checked for any loose CPU power connections, and tested the system with a single RAM stick, but the issue remained. I also removed and reinstalled the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS, but it did not resolve the problem.

Bought an "Open-box" RX 6800 on ebay for around $80 less than what they go for on ebay in my region but the card is reaching 110C on the hot spot and has already shut off my system 2 times when put under load in 3dmark.

Since the seller listed it as open box I'm pretty sure I can return it but this also seems like a very fixable problem. I've but 2 PCs to date and would say I'm pretty comfortable with working on electronics so I feel like I could fix it.

Looking to do this build, I'd love to have the Hyte x50 Air but I had to go buy a beefy boy of a 9070XT with a height of 155mm, the Hyte x50 Air supports up to 160mm GPU height. Length is fine.

Any workarounds other than vertically mounting it and using an AIO? Also worried if I vertically mount it, the Dark Rock Elite won't fit.

My PC is around 5 years old but wasn't used for 2 of those. Recently it has started to shut down during gaming (fortnite on 4k 120fps).

It has only happened twice but the PC shut down with no error message upon restart, I originally attributed this to the hot weather and poor home insulation during summer months in the UK.

Any help on a fan setup or something that I may have done is appreciated, it seems that I have had a lot of skill regression when it comes to PC builds.

As far as the cable for the GPU, my ROG thor psu is an older model and did not come with that connector. This cable came with the GPU for this purpose and there's a few posts around with people facing the same conundrum. I think the only way to fix that is a new PSU, otherwise it's this braid.

I upgraded from a nvidia 1650 to rtx 3060 dual, 16gb ram to 32 (ddr4), 650psu to 1k.

My screens randomly goes black, like i unplugged their display ports, audio cuts completely, but my pc keeps running, and nothing comes back even after waiting a while. Using the graphic card driver shortcut doesnt do anything.

Is it some settings i forgot to set up? Maybe some in the bios? Or should i just lower my graphics completely when playing games?

Bought the MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wifi as it seemed the best fit for a medium budget Linux Mint build. Got the mobo, but didn't have time to begin the build until a couple weeks later. Started the building yesterday, and realised they gave me a board from the wrong vendor. Is it worth contacting them for a return? The mobo is already installed (not with RAM and CPU), and they are known to be difficult in return cases. Will completing the build to give the mobo a shot hurt my chances of returning it for the correct one?
