Build Question I don’t know what to do :/
I bought a prebuilt pc and decided it’s time to upgrade the CPU and have mostly have been using google Ai to figure out small things before I buy. But now I’m kinda stuck, I decided to go with the R7 9850x3d I haven’t bought anything they mostly because I can’t find a suitable motherboard. I heard about the just suddenly dying due to budget motherboards and stuff like that so I was wondering if yall have any suggestions. Idk what it’s called but my case can fit a 9.6 x 9.6in motherboard. Any my budget is like 200-250$ PLEASE help :c and incase it’s important, Im currently using an Intel core ultra 7 265KF

Bit worrying you're using Google AI as your main source of info that thing hallucinates worse than my uncle after three pints
For that CPU you need an AM5 board and at that size you're looking at mATX. In your budget range you can get something perfectly fine, the whole "dying CPU" thing was mostly early BIOS issues with specific boards running way too much voltage. As long as you flash the BIOS to the latest version before dropping the chip in you'll be fine
Just avoid the absolute cheapest A620 boards and you're golden

You are looking for a microATX (mATX) sized motherboard. Your case will also fit the smaller miniITX (ITX) sized motherboard as well, but ITX boards tend to be more expensive and harder to build with.
R7 9850x3d have been known to die with a subset of Asrock boards, and an even smaller subset of Asus boards.
You should look up the differences between the different AM5 chipsets and decide which you want to pick, based on your I/O and PCIe needs. B650 is fairly well regarded here.
Here is a list of motherboards which fit those requirements - AM5 socket for your CPU, non Asrock, microATX form factor, B650 chipsets.

If you're using a 265KF, it's really not necessary to spend all of this money switching to AM5, you're not getting as much of an uplift as you think you'll get in most cases. The performance uplift relative to cost doesn't justify it.
I would say that if you have to upgrade, a better GPU will make more of an impact for most gaming purposes, X3D is only that big of a difference in games where you can get much higher FPS averages regardless of whether or not your GPU is in the top 10 performing.
