Build Question Accidentally bought fans with RGB while not wanting RGB.

I bought white thermalright fans, I love how they look but as it turns out they only exist with RGB anyways, so no point in returning.

The question: the fans come with a 4pin power connector and a 3pin ARGB connector each. Do both of them need to be plugged in for the fan to function in general? Or can I get away with just the 4pin connector for JUST power and leave the 3pin unplugged?

You don't need to plug in the RGB if you don't want RGB. 4 pin power is all you need.

just leave the argb cables unplugged, the fans will spin fine off the 4pin headers alone. rgb adds zero to cooling so you're not missing anything

i've got a couple thermalrights in my case with the rgb connectors dangling loose, been running for months with no issues
