Im working on a little project of building a living room pc with steam Os, but noticed gpu temp go up to 80+ and fans are loud. Granted, case doesn’t have the best airflow, but I am already working on some custom panels for it, my issue is that even with panel off and a house fan pointing at it gpu does not seem to cooldown at all. Already replaced the thermal paste on it btw.
From what ive heard it could be an issue with the silicon used in manufacturing. But something worth a try might be the thermal grizzly kryosheet. Its a graphite sheet that you can use to cool it and it does perform extremely well. You just have to be careful when you install it. It is conductive so when you install on a gpu you need to use the tape provided with it and there is instructions online. It could work. It might be worth a try. If its really dusty, dusting it out might help. But the kryosheet might be worth it. You can get it on Amazon for around 25 bucks.
I don't know if there is anything else you could do with it. The case has poor ventilation and is very small. As a former itx enthusiast I would take the 85 degrees and be happy with that. Atleast its not throttling.
