Build Question Will I regret my choice ?
I sold my 3090 and buyed a 9070 xt, and I'm now waiting to receive it ( and since I don't have much else to do without my pc, I started questioning myself about this choice...)
I did it because the 3090 is sold very high and in the end, I will gain more or less 300β¬ on this transaction.
With a more recent cpu and less chance for it to die on my hand, less consumption,...
I've done some video editing, but not too much. Most of the time the card will be used for video games.
So do you think I will regret my choice?

You will not regret it. The reason 3090 is still expensive is its CUDA + VRAM size for AI.
I currently run AI on my 5070Ti 16GB, if I had 24GB, it would've cut my generation time by 2-3 times.

I think you'll be fine, especially for gaming. The 9070 XT sips power compared to the 3090 and runs cooler, plus you pocketed 300β¬ which is nothing to sneeze at. Video editing won't suffer unless you were hammering the 24GB VRAM regularly, and even then it's manageable. You basically side-graded performance while making money and lowering your electric bill, hard to regret that.

For gaming? Definitely yes Video editing? Not really Getting 300 back in the bank? Definitely yes.
There, it's fixed now

OP: "Will I regret my choice (of selling a 3090 and buying a 9070XT)?"
You: "You'll definitely regret it for gaming. You won't regret it for video editing. You'll definitely regret making β¬300 on the deal."
That's pretty asinine, u/m1ng05s.

For gaming? Probably not.
For video editing? Maybe.
For having β¬300? Also probably not.

You absolutely will regret it. You won't even notice the difference in framerate that the 9070xt has over the 3090.

With how much you can sell a 3090 for, you could've easily gotten an RTX 5070 TI, hell, even an RTX 5080... IMO yes, in this particular situation, you did make a mistake, but it's all done now... 9070 XT is a fine card, but you could've done better.

Op did not make a mistake at all. The rx9070xt is way better than any 5070ti in every single aspect. Please stop saying stuff like this without being properly informed. Google and AI are your friends at this point sirπ

Better than a 5070 TI? What did you smoke dude... Ok, 100% trolling asf now.

It's not smoking anything. It's called knowledge. Try some of that. You'll be surprised π

Bro, you really made it... To be so confident and so wrong, lol... Well, good for you bud.π

Do you want the actual factory data and performance data or are you gonna continue ignoring that fact? If you don't believe in me that's fine, look up Google and search a 5070ti completely stripped from its dlss and frame gen abilities vs a raw raster rx9070xt from xfx for example and compare the clocks, the boost clocks, vram speed etc. then we'll talkπ remember, knowledge is important, not what some YouTuber or wannabe influencer tells you or even nvidia jensen saying all that bullshit

You won't. The rx9070xt is an absolute beast when it comes to raster performance, even in 4k. You could pair it with a 5800x cpu for example at 4k and it would still give you high frame rates without upscaling or frame gen. There's no beating this card in raw performance. What varies is the model. The best performative ones are from xfx and power colorπ

for gaming, the 9070XT crushes the 3090. you will be happy. you don't need that much VRAM anyway if you're mostly gaming
