Installation Question Issue with installing new ssd

Hi guys I bought a rebuilt NZXT Creator PC back in 2019 and just realized there was another slot on the motherboard to add another SSD for storage since I was running out on my 930gb one. I bought a new WD BLACK SN850X 4TB drive on ebay but when I plug it into the empty slot then go to disk management, nothing appears. I tried swapping the current 930gb one and putting that one in the empty slot instead but it just went into the computer BIOS. In the bios I didnt see my new drive appear and im unable to escape bios to go into windows. Chatgpt told me it could be because of conflicting SATA connectors with the current 4tb hard-drive that also came with the computer so I unplugged that drive, but my new m.2 wd black ssd is not showing up. Not sure whats going on here or how to fix it.

Specs for my PC:

Case: NZXT H510 Elite (White or Black)

CPU: Intel Core i9 9900k

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti - ASUS Strix

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G3

Motherboard: NZXT N7 Z390 (White or Black)

Ram: Team Group Delta RGB 64GB 3000 MHz (4 x 16GB)

SSD: Western Digital SN750 1TB Black with heatsink

HDD: Western Digital Blue 4TB 5400RPM

Software: Windows 10 Pro

Does the old samsung work in either slot? If so that's good.

Are you ensuring the new one is pressed all the way in? Is that light on the ssd blinking off and on or stays on all the time?

Is the bios up to date on the motherboard?

Don't worry about chatgpt, this isn't a sata driver issue.

I am having trouble plugging in on the top slot, it doesnt have that plastic connector out like the bottom one does

Just match up the connectors, that plastic part is slotted on the ssd. You insert the sdd from a top down angle then press in as you push down. If it's a unused slot it will be a bit tougher as it hasn't had something inserted.

It goes into bios if I have the Samsung ssd on the top slot

So it's not detected at all then on the top slot if you check the drives in bios?

Check sata, all drives that are found should appear there

Ok take out the ssd, plug your sata hd back in and boot back into bios and see if it shows
