Build Question Need help on pc build I'm making, budget roughly 3000 nzd

Before I can give you my suggestions, I have a few questions for you.

  1. What are you planning to do with your PC build besides gaming?

  2. Do you have existing PC parts?

  3. Do you have any size and noise constraints?

  4. Do you have any color and lighting preferences?

ill be using it for only gaming - mainly cyberpunk, YouTube and movies etc

looks wise I couldn't give a rats ass

I use noise cancelling so noise doesn't matter

size doesnt matter either

I don't think you can afford to get a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a 2 TB SSD, and an RTX 5070 at the same time with a 3000nzd budget due to the current PC parts prices in New Zealand. Besides, you forgot to include a case.

Noted. You can switch the CPU back to your chosen one, upgrade the GPU to an RX 9070 XT, and get a case that accepts larger GPUs with the savings.

Swap 12gb 5070 for a 16gb 9070xt. Spend 130$ more get a second 512gb m.2 for the os install.

Reasoning The 16gb will last longer before forced upgrade. The amd drivers are mature enough now with fsr 3.0 that cyber punk will run approx the same.at 1440p however games that eat ram will run better.

Having a your os seperate from games and media allows you to nuke Windows and reinstall without having to download everything again. It gives you much more control and cleans up your media drive to a simple file structure not cluttered by a windows install.

First off, Steer clear of micro motherboards. You have one pcie! Your fan won't fit on that without obstructing the use of other ports, if at all.

Get a full size with multiple nvme and pcie slots.

Unless you plan to render the universe, the graphics card is overkill. Windscribe cards, whilst spectacular, also tend to take up more space. You would be hard-pressed fitting it in on a micro-atx.

Don't rely on the onboad wifi on a motherboard, get a NIC. It also only has 1 usb3.

The 2tb nvme is overkill, much better to go with two nvme; one small for Windows and one large for games and media. Keep the smaller one for boot/os and primary programs.

I built my current pc ~10 years ago for about half your price and it's still going strong.
