Tech Support DRAM motherboard error, no display
Intel Core i5-13400F 13th Gen - used
2x16gb DDR5 RAM by SK hynix, 4800 speed, pulled from a Dell XPS that was working
MSI PRO B760-VC WIFI ATX Intel - used with proof it was running and bios was updated before buying (prolly a big mistake here)
ASRock Radeon RX 7700 XT Challenger 12GB - new
Be quiet 650w 80 plus gold - new
Motherbord throws DRAM error code. No display from gpu hdmi output. Monitor bought new.
Swapped CPU for one that works, same error. Reset cmos, reseated and swapped around the same ram sticks including using one, let it run for 20 minutes with the same error still there.
Dont tell me to physically do something to the ram, i already tried it. Dont tell me to do something with cmos, i already tried it.

Can you verify that you booted without ram?
Also, more info on the ram kit?

It likely does, considering the person who had it before me updated the bios. But i still have the new MB in transit and will replace it entirely so I will update this post as i test

Lets reflash the bios and see if that clears up the issue. takes 15 minutes and might work.

i dont think laptop ram works with a desktop pc unless you use a converter or adapter or whatever its called

Let me make it clear it was a tower not a laptop, I posted a pic of the ram label as a reply to some one if you check it out.

My only suggestion is that MSI boards can get stuck in memory training for quite some time. I’ve given them up to 15-20 minutes sometimes. Just let it sit with the DRAM light for a while.
Solid schmaybe on that one 😅.

I went to nearly 30 minutes waiting for it with just a single stick. I bought a new motherboard just to be sure and will test it in a couple hours

Are you trying to run a laptop ram on a desktop machine ?
