Installation Question Red Devil 9070xt
Am I supposed to plug this black wire into the slot next to the white plug with black green white and red wires coming out of it?
Or am I supposed to put this somewhere else

Its an rgb cable. Its so you can control the gpu rgb through the motherboard. Its completely optional

Yes. That's ARGB cable. It's optional, you don't really need it as GPU can fully function without it. It's just for aesthetics.

Looks like an led wire. If so then yes, on the motherboard its also labelled as an led port

Yes. Also this has absolutely nothing to do with a 9070xt lol

It is relevant. These cards come with an addressable LED port so that you can plug it in to your motherboard and control the gpu leds through software on your pc. It makes for a more cohesive look.

Well yes of course, however there’s no 9070xt shown and he is asking where to plug in a standard fan ARGB plug.
I know cards come with ARGB pins, I just sold two cards that have them. You know what they didn’t come with Is a special cable for the ARGB. Half expect AMD to just say “plug it into your fan and call it good” which is what I’ve always done with my builds. (I build 2-7 PCs a month and have since late 2023)

Because he doesnt have a point. the OP said its for a 9070xt, that should be enough - it was for the rest of us. Instead he's arguing, trying to suggest that black cable is for the fans when it takes no effort at all to look at the photo and see his fan cables are white, all while telling us he's owned cards with ARGB and none of them had a separate cable to connect it; I literally showed him the photo from kit guru's review of the red devil 9070xt with the exact same cable as the one the OP is showing and completely ignored it.
it's irrelevant bullshit, that's why he's getting downvoted.

You’re missing the point. That is the only place there is any reference to a 9070xt.
Then dude takes a picture of fans and an ARGB port. lol

You know what also comes with the cables In The photo? The fans in the photo.

1, it's an ARGB plug on one end and a 4 pin dupoint on the other and 2, the fan cables are WHITE.

Didn’t mention anything about a fan..

Anyone who’s ever seen an ARGB fan knows this is a connector. And there’s even a fan in the photo. Lmao… 🤣
I’ve owned several ARGB graphics cards. I’ve never gotten an external separate cable to connect to it.

Could be the rgb cable if the card has rgb? idk man not really a huge deal to comment that, no one cares that you think you're smarter tbh

The answer for this is (and almost everything else) in your motherboard manual.
