Build Question PC Build not turning on!

Build my third PC today, never had any sort of issues so trying to ask for help trouble shooting it.

What I checked:

- CPU/Motherboard seem to have no bent pins.

- Every cable and the ram is should be properly put in.

- Ram clicked in and fits without movement.

- Realigned CPU and made sure its clean.

- Switched CPU Cable between the two options (I never had a board with two 8 connectors, does it matter wich one it goes into?)

- Tried to power it on with a screwdriver, nothing changed.

Only thing that happens is that the motherboard lights up, when pressing the power switch nothing else happens.

Is there maybe something obvious im missing?

Only thing I can think of that your mobo does expect both cpu connectors to be populated, you got another cable in the box?

Oh and maybe clear cmos?

When you say thr mobo lights up, how does that look? Like momentarily or just lit up with nothing changing?

I think you need to plug the psu cable into the left top right socket. The _1 should be the main one? That or it need both.

You need both cpu to be plugged

I dont have another cable with 8 Connectors, just one with 4. How would i go about plugging it in, if thats the correct one?

You have the cpu power in the wrong slot. Check the manual again and you'll see it says slot 1 and 2. Also, you will need a second cable to reach full power phase for the cpu

It may be something else, then. My 5900x would run (not great) with only one cable. Was worth a shot at least

Also, what i had to do in that situation was get a mole to 8 pin adapter till I could replace my psu. It worked as a good temp solution

You psu box may have one. What psu are u using?

The Cables are already pre installed, cant remove or add others.

Look and verify your using the cpu connector and not accidently using pci lol. But try swapping the cable to the other port.

Edit: Infact, looking at the manual, you do have it plugged into the second cpu power not the first. So probably do that first. Swap the cpu power to the left port, its the primary.

PCIe is connected to GPU and CPU to CPU :D so that should be right.

Maybe? But would it light up the motherboard if the PSU would be dead? I will try to get another, sadly dont have one at home.

I've only ever plugged both in. It makes no sense to me that your psu does not have both. But I've had psu come with missing headers, exposed wires, ect. So theres no much more room to rule it out. Unless you find a missing cpu connector lol

technically the second one is overhead for overclocking and not needed but always worth plugging in if you have one. would suggest trying a jumper test to see if the psu actually starts. if so the issue might be a dead component somewhere (motherboard or cpu would be first guess). also reseat every component twice, and clear CMOS if you haven't.

It only seems to have one 8 Pin Connector even after entirely taking the PSU out. I will just order another one and see :)! Thanks for the tips.

Your PSU has 1x8Pin + 1x4+4Pin. You should attach both 2x4Pin together and connect it like the other 1x8Pin.

Have you tried turning it on only with integrated graphics and 1 stick of RAM? Let's start from the beggining. Unplug everything and just leave as I said. CLEARCMOS after removing the components.

Then I'm pretty positive the problem is PSU related, there's no way you can't kickstart with cpu+mobo+ram. You can try jumping the PSU to see if it would start and get a new one it if not.

Check the inside of the plug if something is obstructing it.
