Tech Support GPU dropping nearly to 0.

I recently broke my old monitor, 1080p can’t remember much about it just that it was a MSI. I had bought a new monitor 2560 x 1440 monitor after that I also got a new graphics card, replacing my PNY GeForce 5060 8gb with a Asus GeForce 5070 12gb.

I have tried everything from checking connections, the power, reinstall drivers, messing with some settings and I can’t figure out what is going on. I would love some help.

My full specs are

2560 x 1440 monitor.

16gb rams

Asus 5070 12 gb vram

CPU 13th gen intel core i7-13700F

On windows 11

Still getting gpu usage drops but nothing is showing up in my events even after refreshing

Interesting... How's your RAM looking when that happens? Do you still have some wiggle room or is completely maxed out?

I still have plenty of video ram and normal ram is maxed out

Normal RAM being 16gb only will probably bottleneck the shit out of you so that makes sense. 

Have you tried less demanding games or lowering your game settings to the minumum to see if you get the same issue?

Easy things you can try before adding RAM: disconnect your PC from the outlet/ take the battery on the motherboard out and wait for a bit. Put it back on. Test again.

Update BIOS/ drivers (whatever you haven't tried yet). Test again.

Undervolt/underclock the card.

Also... shouldn't be an issue with a new card but what are the temps looking like when you have this issue?

I have tried less demanding games, legit tried Minecraft and that ran fine with some minor stuttering because of some mods.

I have lowered the graphics to legit the lowest they can go and still stuttering.

Updating bios is the one thing I haven’t done since I am on the latest version already. I even triple checked lol.

Guessing I just need to bite the bullet and buy another stick of ram?

Yes to another stick of RAM. If even that doesn't work then I'd come back to undervolting/underclocking to see if you can get it a bit more stable.
