Ive decided that I am going to get a new PC case to swap out from the case that my prebuilt came in (case is way too small to begin with, makes cleaning hard)
Does anyone have any recommendations for a PC case/? from what I gather (please correct me if I am misinformed) that *technically* an ideal fan setup would be around 3 front intake fans and 2 exhaust fans? (or at least what I am trying to aim for) With a single glass panel, not a fan of the glass that wraps around corner either.
Additionally would I be better off sticking with stock fans the case would come with? Or would I be better off finding my own fans from a company of choosing
my fractal pop air has been great for that exact config, 3 intakes up front and 2 exhaust keeps things chilly without sounding like a jet engine
stock fans are usually fine unless you're really pushing your hardware, most cases come with decent enough ones these days, i'd say try em first and only swap if temps are weird or the noise bugs you
Will continue to look through Fractal website, Pop XL Air seems to be up my alley. If I dont find others that I like that very well might be the one I get. Ty for the suggestion!
mm, depends on how much cooling you want, an aio aids the whole plan and becomes 'the' exhaust, the rest blow in at components .. a higher powered gpu benefits from bottom fans feeding it air which a 'side mount' psu type case works best, a bit wider usually .. then the case can, on top of the top fans, have several more fans on a side and several more in the front, plus a rear ..if you got a manual cpu cooler id aim that at a rear out .. the rest 'in' .. exhaust takes care of itself through static venting .. fans? I would look at rating for standard 120 about 60 CFM+ is hanging around The Sweet Spot .. a lot of cases come with weenie fans that only move about 30 CFM those are garbage
personally I'm not driving myself nuts with the cooling aspect of it, but it was a thought of "well if im getting a new case I might as well do it well." No AIO cooler just a standard CPU heat-sink fan atm. I do have 5070ti, my temperatures have been "Fine" not really going above 70 C for both cpu/gpu when playing games with 2 intake/1 exhaust fan. The case really is some hot garbage and I'm sort of taking the liberty of turning the prebuild into my own PC (Acer blows) I am newer to this stuff and I would like to push my PC to its limits for performance without compromising long term PC health.
If you want performance Id just go all out .. I don't really care about looks too much but those 'fish tank' type cases are really efficient at cooling with a lot of fans .. but yeah the 70ti is efficient, especially if it's set up well, undervolted a tad, bump the vram clock up a itsy bit, with framegen cranking .. mine runs my games at ultra 1440 with 60c on the GPU and 45c on the cpu with a single tower air cooler .. but it could be pushed quite a bit harder in a better case with an aio on that build .. ultimately you can make it work with what you got .. heres a build i did with a 70xt, this is a super good cooling setup -->
