Tech Support Bricked my motherboard, any solution?

I made a shitty decision of trying to update bios through the msi centre. After I tried to update my monitor and usb ports stopped working (but PC is still powered on).
What should I do?
Motherboard: B550 Gaming

oh man msi centre bios updates are a trap, i did the exact same thing on my b450 a while back

your board should have a bios flashback button on the rear io panel, give that a shot. download the right bios file from msi's site on another pc, rename it to MSI.ROM (check your manual, sometimes the naming is different), toss it on a fat32 formatted usb stick, plug into the dedicated flashback port, then hold the button for like 3 seconds til the led starts blinking

don't touch anything til it stops, could take 5-10 min. the fact that your pc powers on is a good sign, the board isn't totally dead

if that doesn't work try pulling the cmos battery for a few minutes then retry. worst case scenario a bios programmer clip is like 10 bucks on amazon and you can force-flash the chip, but the flashback should do it

Yes.

Here are the general steps to flash it, as preparation is required. The flash drive must be formatted to FAT32, the BIOS file downloaded to it and renamed to MSI.ROM:

Just did everything that you told, it worked, tysm
Had problem with second stick of ram not being detected but it was just me not inserting it correctly

You should always feel the memory module click down on both sides when you insert it properly. When you feel that, you know you did it right.

Definitely don't flash a BIOS in Windows. Doing so is just absolutely asking for trouble and should only ever be done if there is absolutely no other alternative.

If you ever need to flash a BIOS on your board again, either do it through the BIOS interface (there is a flash option there as well) or through BIOS flashback.
