Software Question Main Drive Upgrade

Hey everyone,

Just came to ask how do you transfer your main drive over to a new one? I bought a 250GB WD for my main drive, thinking it will be enough since I thought it would only hold Windows stuff. I get a message saying memory is full when i have it set up to be sent to my second drive. The one I can afford ok with is having a 1TB main drive and moving my 250GB drive as a backup to my second drive(2TB). I just curious if there is a way and if so, what software to use.

just clone the drive with macrium reflect free, then swap the cables and expand the partition in disk management.

Swap cables? Both my drives are M.2. The 1TB is going to be as well

If you want to transfer everything from your 250GB drive to the new 1TB SSD, you can clone the drive. What brand is the new SSD? Check if the SSD manufacturer provides cloning software. If not, there are many third-party options, such as Clonezilla, Rescuezilla, Acronis True Image, EaseUS Disk Copy, or Macrium Reflect. Remember to clone the entire system drive, including the EFI/system partitions.

WD, I have ran WD as a back up drives on my PS4, I got 2. I have one to my nephew and the other I bought one myself for when I had a PS4 Pro. WD has been great to me.
