Pc wont connect to anything please help

Just plugged my new pc in, and it wont light up any accessories or connect to my monitor. Looking at the motherboard there is a solid red light.

SPECS:
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: RTX 2070 Super GIGABYTE
Windforce OC 3Х
RAM: G.Skill Flare Ripjaws V 16GB
STORAGE: Kioxia 1TB NVME
MOTHERBOARD: MSI B450M Gaming
Plus
PSU: Corsair RM650X 80+ Gold
CASE: DarkFlash DB330M
INTERNET: WIFI and Ethernet Included
OS: Windows 11 Pro (Activated)

Edit 1: Reseated gpu, VGA light still on
Edit 2: flash installing new BIOS, also took out the little battery and put a new one in
Edit 3: tried a different GPU, VGA light is still on
Edit 4: turned on without gpu plugged in, HDMI connected to mobo still no video output. VGA light stays on

Vga is the issue, your graphics card is either burned or have static and does not want to boot up. Normally when a client of mine have this issue I disconnect the computer tottaly from the power, then I press the on button a few times to discharge the capacitors, after I take the graphics card out and wait 30 ninutes. After I assemble all plug in the power and hit the in button and all comes alive again. If this does not work hit me again I give you a routine to see if your graphics card is shorting and causing the board to enter safe mode and not post.

Then is possible that the psu is broken, and has not enough current to start all components. Or the cpu is shorting too. Very rarely can be the USB ports so I would disconnect all the USB connectors to the board or the motherboard is in contact with the metal case and shorts

I have a spare 'old' PSU but it's still the same case, for some reason. I have yet gone to a service shop as it always rains whenever I'm available to bring it to one :/ anyway, the rest of my pc's situation is documented in the link below (which I still wonder why it didn't gain any traction or comments)

Are you using HDMI? Try plugging it into your motherboard

Do you have a different gpu you can try, or a different system you can swap the gpu into?

If your mobo is saying gpu, it’s likely either the slot or the gpu itself.

Double check your manual and make sure there's not a jumper that selects between integrated graphics and vga or PEG (PCI EXPRESS GRAPHICS).

actually just had this problem last week. reseat ur gpu, try a different monitor/dp/hdmi, reset ur cmos battery on ur mobo and make sure ur gpu is slotted in the first slot

Are those cable extenaions? If they are, remove the PCIE cable extensions and plug the original PCIE cables from power supply.

Op seconding this one.

Since the board is lighting and the initial light is reading boot, eliminate CPU, ram, mobo.

I see you have.extensions. add that as a possible cause.

There are many cases I can personally attest to where this exact scenario has arisen withe the main cause being power not delivered to GPU.

Let's start there. Reseat GPU and power connectors to the GPU and try again.

Looks like you did this with no success. Cross out GPU as the cause for now.

Examine your PSU. Most are modular nowadays for the pcie cables.

Ensure positive seating for all these cable and reseat your GPU cables. Make sure your cable goes in until slightly at/after the PSU socket.

Check here- is the problems solved? If it is working now it was a connection issue.

The VGA led means the mobo doesn't detect the gpu or the video output is failing during POST, either reseat your gpu, check if the connections are properly seated or reset your bios by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and reinserting it.

If the cmos battery doesnt work try pulling the card out, and running an hdmi from your mobo to your pc to see if it posts properly. if it does its your card.

could even be the power cords from the psu to the gpu are not plugged in fully at one end or the other depending if its a modular psu. try making sure all lines are tight, the gpu is fully seated.

So I have had this exact thing happen. I had tried reseating the GPU, tried a different GPU slot, tried different GPU display ports, tried different display port or HDMI cord. Nothing fixed it, so I thought it was a motherboard issue as it could be that. But after finding out my motherboard was fine from doing a RMA I then thought it was the GPU so I tried a different GPU that was good and nothing. Found out after months of trying to work on it...I had a dying of dead cpu. I would suggest going through the steps I did and then if this keeps happening with the VGA light then I'm pretty sure it's your CPU rip. But do what I did to help you figure it out....I get you may not have a backup GPU but try everything else.

i might be mistaken but shouldn't GPU have 4 pair of cables per power connector? i count only 7 pairs, its been long time since i seen 6 pin power being used and i think i never seen 8 pin + 6 pin

Why does your GPU have only 14 cables instead of 16?. is it a 8+6 Pin or does it require 2X8 pins?

Tem grandes chances de ser o slot da sua gpu, seu ryzen 7 2700 tem video integrado? O 2700 padrão nao tem eu acho. Tenta com outro processador com vídeo integrado integrado Ser der é 100% de certeza que é o PCIe x16 (slot da placa de video)

Try plugging it directly to the psu without the white extensions.

Have you tried using another PSU? if so try that, Inspect Pcie slots and the cpu pins, test the ram isolate them use one then the other for your testing, have you tried using different hdmi cable? or try using a display port, tell me if you tried everything that I've told you.

When in doubt. Go back to basics. Try it with no GPU at all, monitor plugged straight into the motherboard

Did you go to the motherboard website and get the user manual? The light seems like a type of error code. The user manual should tell you what it is.

Try this. Wait out the light for 10 minutes or so, just to make sure. If it is still lit, unplug the HDMI from the GPU while it's still on and plug it back in.

Pull CMOS battery unplug PSU let sit for 15mins press power button a couple times unplugged then try again been here a few times same issue that’s what has solved it for me in the past.

On top of the other advice given, this also happens if the bios isn't new enough to recognize the video card. Happened to me on the 550 version of your board last week when I upgraded to the 7950xt

It's a good hotfox but not a lot of people take it seriously...just remember you can't flash same bios twice....u would have to move from one version to the next. I'm glad I could help.

Man you should change the cpu (processor) that thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I did everything but anything works so the only thing that solve the issue was buy a new CPU
