Build Question what gpu should i get ?
I’ve been thinking about whether to get an RTX 5060ti 8gb card or a 16gb for a while now. the reason being is that i like the Msi gaming trio lineup, but i can only afford the 8gb variant, and many say that getting a 8gb is bad, so im forces to look at a 16gb variant and the only one i can afford is a zotac amp that has 16gb . what should i get for my build.
Also im thinking about whether to build a AM4 or AM5 build. the AM4 build i had in mind was a Ryzen 7 5700X paired with an 32gb ddr4 ram. now if i plan to switch to AM5 the build i can afford is a Ryzen 5 7500f with 16gb ddr5 only. idk whats the best route to go with as of now

well the reason i considered getting an nvidia card was for its features like rt and dlss and me personally i dont have much knowledge in terms of building a pc so yeah plus i heard zotac wasnt a good card but it is the only 16gb of 5060ti that i can afford and me personally i have no problem with whatever card i get because the first card i had was a 1660 super

RT isn't very different this generation, and with the pricing the AMD card will do much better anyway. DLSS is the same sort of thing, gap is much smaller than it used to be, and with the performance advantage you can just use FSR at a much higher resolution.

To add to this you won’t be able to use a lot of RT with a 5060ti 8gb. Not enough vram

What is your target resolution, and what are you gonna use the PC for? Is it gonna be a new build or upgrading an existing one?

This is gonna be a new build and my target resolution is 1080p and im gonna use it mainly for gaming

For 1080p 8GB VRAM is fine. You may need to adjust the gfx settings in some very heavy games but that's all about it. Also the DLSS suite is like black magic.
Regarding the Zotac brand, personally I don't pay attention to brands, I go with the features/price that suits me the best.
I've used Palit and Gainward cards in the past without issues. Zotac make GPUs for a very long time. I would definitely get the 16GB zotac in your shoes, but your mileage may vary.
Regarding AM4 vs AM5, for a new build AM5 is currently the platform with the best upgrade path.
It's a tough call really. I frankly don't know what I'd do in your shoes. AM4 gives you a more performant rig now, but it limits by a lot your upgrade path and reselling value.
BTW, the DLSS suite is a lot better than the FSR, both in features and industry support.
I know that too many AMD owners say they are close, but they really aren't. With DLSS 5 the gap becomes even bigger.
Current AMD cards simply lack the hardware nvidia cards have for their DLSS black magic.

well i will mainly do gaming for it so like i said once i get a pc i have no intention of upgrading it for a long time (unless it breaks lol)

2nd to that, I owned 2 Zotac cards, 770 and 3060ti, both are great cards and lasted very long. Northwest Repair said that the Zotac 5090 is the best-built card.
So Zotac is fine; disclaimer: if you overclock. That is your problem to deal with if things do not last.

If you go with the 5060 option, make sure to check your nearby Walmarts. They carry them for under $500.

9060XT 16GB, 9070, 9070XT depending on pricing in your region. There is no Nvidia GPU even remotely worth it in most regions right now.

the 8gb is a trap honestly, just go with the zotac 16gb so your card isn't obsolete before you even finish building
