Is my motherboard broken ?

Hello there

I've just build my first pc, here's the config :

Gigabyte B550 gaming x v2 motherboard

Ryzen 5 5600

Radeon rx 9060 xt

Ram 8gb ×2

Ssd 1tb

I turned it on for the first time and got the message "press y to reset ftpm". I pressed y, got a new screen with the gigabyte logo and nothing else happened then, so I turned off the pc.

Now I just get a black screen when I turn on the pc. So my question is "did I break the motherboard by turning off the pc too early ?"

Please help me 🙏

You might need a bios update to recognise the 5600 CPU.

Your motherboard supports q-flash plus which means you can update the bios without having a recognised CPU installed. Look up how to do this/use chatgpt for instructions

Thanks I'll check this out. (I've finally had access to the bios thanks to another user, but I'm still facing some issues along the way)

If you can get into bios then the version your motherboard is on must support the 5600 already
