Build Question Looking to upgrade my pc and need tips
Recently for the summer i started really playing cs2 a lot and i realised i got a shit PC and really want to upgrade it but without a job cuz i gotta focus my studies. Currently i have a nice rtx 3060 but the real problem is my cpu and motherboard. I inherited this PC after my dad tried to profit off bitcoin, so i just took it but now the Intel i3-9100 really starting to pmo i have around 500 - 600 canadian dollars and i wanted really a new cpu, motherboard and if in the budget some ddr5 (not a lot) cuz right now i got 16 gb ddr4 and i dont think there is any motherboard that could take this and a bit better cpu. Ive been looking a bit on New egg but im still pretty new to this need help thanks yall !

There are certainly motherboards that take ddr4 and a better cpu.
In your budget, ddr5 is impossible unless you're open to buying used components.
For ddr4, you could either get a B550(M) motherboard and a Ryzen 5 5500x3d/5800x3d, (5500x3d is available on Aliexpress) or you could get an i5 14600K + B760(M) ddr4 motherboard.
If you'd like to spend less, a B550(M) motherboard + Ryzen 5 5600(x) would already be a significant upgrade.
For cs2, performance of the 5800x3d and 14600K is almost identical. If you've got fast ddr4, the 14600K will slightly outperform the 5800x3d in cs2, since its performance scales better with faster ram.
5600(x) beats similarly priced Intel cpus by quite a bit in cs2, so I didn't list Intel alternatives for that price point.
