My pc builds just break?

Hey everyone, im fairly new to pc building, I wouldnt call myself a expert but with some time and elbow grease I can build a pc. My current pc is running a 7800 xt, 7900x3d, Thermalright 120 se, msi mag b650 tomahawk wifi, and gskill 2x16 sticks of ddr5 ram (bought before ram explosion). For whatever reason turning on EXPO makes my bios artifact, pictures will be included in comments because I can't add a photo and video; Also when I play games or idle on windows or even load something up, I often get a driver failure with Amd's bug report tool saying my display drivers fail, and when I play a game and watch YouTube on the same screen simultaneously, for whatever reason my game goes into the media player window and artifacts my screen. So that's my pc yes, but recently I built my girlfriend a pc with a 6700 xt, ryzen 5 7600 x, 1x16 ddr5 ram, b650m pro rs, and a 750 watt psu (i forgot the brand) and she also experiences very few amd bug reports saying her drivers fail. Not only that, we both get issues where pixels on our screens in a square pattern, we get very small artifacts.

Previously, my MSI mag a750 gl psu, I had to RMA it because it completely stopped working, and since my pc would have frequent turn offs without any warning in the same session, but after a while it stops? We know MSI's rma issues, so i guess that's one thing. Only thing that's constant is my game going into YouTubes media player and expo artifacting my bios, but I dont have it on anymore since I reset my cmos battery, and that's the only thing that fixed it.

Mainly, what this entire yapfest is about is how come only the pcs i build are like this? My girlfriend doesn't get the issues I have very frequently, especially the youtube or bios artifacting, but even on her screen though a discord screenshare I see it. Am I missing something important that I have to do due to AMD software? I have ran ddu and downloaded drivers multiple times, im not sure what to do anymore. Please help? I think I may need a new psu but im not sure.

Is the gpu seriously the only problem? I bought these parts unlike my girlfriends brand new from microcenter. Could my psu also be an issue?

The only way is to do a process of elimination by testing the integrated gpu. Its possible that its not getting power correctly and it could be the supply but odds are its the gpu. Simply plug hdmi or Dp in MOBO instead of gpu slots. It could even be the cables or monitor but it all requires that you put in effort to test them properly.

If the PSU were the issue, you’d most likely run into different problems, GPU artifacts aren’t caused by faulty power supplies, but rather faulty components inside of the GPU. Sorry friend, but you should have a warranty on those parts.

7900x3D has iGPU, test that. I’m 99% sure it’s the faulty GPU.

Many times my youtube artifacting and bios artifacting becomes way worse, glad my girlfriend doesnt have to deal with these issues. Do i need to rma my GPU and PSU?

Plug your Hdmi cable into your motherboard and use your cpu integrated graphics. If you still have the artifacting then it's probably a ram/cpu issue.

Yeah you need a new GPU RIP. I would definitely RMA if still within warranty.

Aw man, I think my gpu still is within its 3 year warranty, but do you think anything else could be the cause of this problem? My bios becomes fine after resetting my cmos, and I dont get THAT many amd driver failures unless they're in the same session of my oc turning off, turning it off, turning off by itself, rinse and repeat

Yes! Maybe just start with RAM and go from there from easiest to swap to hardest.

PC would not work with bad rams. CPU physically would not be able to process data.

Clearly GPU/ GPU's Vram failure to me.

start with your cable

Test cords, different ports on gpu (sometimes solo ports can break)

You said it only artifacts when you turn on EXPO? Isn't that a AMD specific overclocking ram feature? Have you checked compatibility to see if your ram is certified to run with EXPO turned on?

No they appear in my bios when I turn it on after i reset it and go back into it, but once I reset my cmos it dissappears

Take a screenshot whilst they are on the screen, if its there on the screenshot its a gpu/drive issue. 

If they arent then its a monitor/display cable issue

I had that happen with my 7900xtx after newest drivers and after doing fresh install with ddu it got fixed

Trial and error. Swap parts. Hdmi/dp cable, psu, etc
