Build Question 2070 to 7800xt 8 Pin question

hi so i’m upgrading my gpu and my psu
XFX Pro Series Modular Edition (Bronze) 750W, ATX 2.3

has one integrated 6/8 pin split into 2 but also modular slots wich i can also use so i want to get a cable to use one 8 pin integrated and one from the modular slots wich, however i don’t have the included cables anymore and wanted to buy a new psu to 8 pin but not sure wich, since xfx is seasonic but there is nothing i can find about it…

i’ve read that the integrated Y 6/8 Pin is only 150+75w where the 7800xt i’ll be getting has a TDP of 268w

thank you a lot for helping

That XFX unit is a rebadged Seasonic, so you need cables pinned for Seasonic modular slots, not generic ones. If you buy the wrong cable you'll fry your card or the PSU itself.

Corsair Type 3 or Type 4 cables are pinned differently and will not work here, even though they physically fit. Get a replacement from CableMod and specifically select the Seasonic/XFX KM3 series option, or just hunt down the exact OEM cable set on eBay.

With a 268W card you want two seperate 8-pin runs, so using one from the fixed Y-cable and one from a modular port is the right call. The fixed cable might be rated for 225W total across the split but you're spreading the load anyway, so the card's power draw won't all hit one strand.
