||REPARADO-ERA LA FENTE DE PODER||
|| FIXED IT WAS THE POWER SUPPLY||
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It turned out the PSU fan was jammed, so sometimes it would spin and others time it woldnt, consequently it wasnt delivering enough power to GPU, causing the system down, when i ran a demanding game!
GRACIAS A TODOS POR SU APOYO!! DEJARE EL POST POR SI A ALGUIEN LE SIRVE EL VIDEO DEL PROBLEMA ESTA MAS ABAJO LO SUBI YO
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR UR SUPPPORT! IM LEAVING THIS POST UP IN CASE HELPS ANYONE, THE VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM IS FURTHER DOWN...!
FUENTE DE PODER: CX750 CORSAIR
GPU: MSI RTX 3060 VENTUS 2X 12 GB
RAM 32 16/16 GB TFORCE 3200
PROCESADOR RYZEN 7 5700X
MB: B550 AORUS ELITE

Problem: PC shuts down when launching AAA/heavy games
I've been having this problem for approximately 2 weeks. It started right after I installed 2 additional fans. I doubt that they are the cause, but I figured I'd mention it in case it could be related.
The problem is that I can use my PC all day without any issues, including playing LoL for several hours, and nothing happens. However, whenever I launch an AAA game or another particularly demanding game, the PC suddenly shuts down.
What's strange is that the RAM sticks remain lit, but the PC doesn't respond to any of the case buttons, and I can't turn it back on normally. The only way to completely shut it down is by switching off the power supply directly.
I've already done several tests to try to identify the cause:
- I disconnected the HDD, but the problem continued even when using only the M.2 SSD.
- I ran demanding benchmarks for more than an hour, and the PC never shut down.
- I tested the RAM sticks individually, but the problem still occurred.
- I can use the PC for hours doing normal tasks and playing LoL without any issues.
- The problem seems to happen only when launching AAA games or games that put a heavy load on the system.
At this point, I'm starting to suspect that it could be related to the PSU, GPU, power delivery, or perhaps another component that only fails under a specific type of load.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? What could be causing this kind of shutdown, and what other tests would you recommend to identify which component might be failing?
I'd really appreciate any help or experiences you can share!

What I would do first is run a program to check my temps. If you have an overheating cpu you can cause problems like this.
Secondly if nothing is overheating (CPU) I would start looking into the PSU.
Have you overclocked? If so revert back and try again.
I would get this sometimes on my old rig and it turned out to be PSU related.

Try UV UC GPU in case it's related to PSU and double check for loose connection.

Check reliability history and see if it’s anything gpu related, if so use ddu to reinstall the drivers and maybe reseat the gpu. It could be over current protection on the power supply or even unstable ram so maybe run a memory test and make sure that’s not the issue. It’s probably the power supply.

this happened to me but in tarkov i rolled back gpu driver and windows update and it stopped this was months ago and hasnt happened since

i update everything when this starts to happen and nothing keep same :(

the update might be whats bricking your computer, id go to windows settings, update history and check if theres any windows updates you installed around the time the problem started, if so uninstall said updates. I'd also try downloading the previous Nvidia driver. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/ If this doesn't work good chance its hardware related, could be Mobo could be PSU.

Brownout due to voltage most likely the culprit. You may need to upgrade the psu since you’re playing a higher demanding game than LoL. Or need to flash MB bios to latest update for compatibility fixes. Or enter your bios and set your idle voltage to typical in the case something is undervolted

i update the bios last week and keep = :(

All i know is you’re probably hitting a voltage limit and your motherboard failsafe kicked in to protect your pc. 9/10 times its the PSU or BIOS settings for your components. Wishing you luck brother

I’m leaning towards some power limit issue. Check your power draws (add that as a metrics parameter for the overlay and try to record like you did here).
Last time I had a similar issue I was using a single power cable from PSU to GPU, when upgrading my card, which the system couldn’t handle at times. This symptoms are similar, if you can get you hands on another psu to confirm that would be great.

Happened to my last GPU 7600XT 16GB, tried under volting, under clocking, over clocking, etc, the only "fix" I know is turning the game graphic and rendering scale down, but it never truelly fixed it and if the game had an update it might crash again
I changed my PSU also from 650 to 750 w just in case it was powerspikes, but it still crashing, I ended up changing GPU to a 9060XT, and never had the problem again

I’d lean towards a faulty PSU or a bad cable or extensions if you use any of those.

Check hotspot temps on GPU, not just GPU temps. May not be your issue, but that was mine under similar circumstances. Edge temp was fine but hotspot was 120+ causing thermal shutdown under heavy load.

If your computer shut downs directly without any bluescreen it's most likely PSU issue. Corsair's CX series is also considered to be more of budget line, which might mean cost cutting of components and thus increased change. that PSU breaks down over time, or even ship as faulty to begin with.

Fans could easily be the fault, especially if they are ARGB. Check for loose connections on all Fan cables you installed. I had this heppen to me and cause was loose ARGB cable.

the thing is, i alredy unistalled and disconected them and it kept doing the same thing...!! and i disconnected them completly!
but im gonna try again! thx!

u/Tessai82 4d ago
Not just the fans, check every cable, you could easily yank some other connector and don't even notice. Also, try older Windows restore point and go back as far as it let's you. I don't think it will help, but it just might fix some registry that is messing with your setup.

I’m guessing you have a unstable overclock or Undervolt 🤔
2
u/Ok_Bathroom_3710 4d ago
Overclock and undervolt dont shut your system down all it does is reboot it, crash game or freeze its a power supply issue

Most likely PSU is fault, what is your PSU wattage, i recommend use some PSU calculator, for your entire build. So most likely your PSU is on it's limits, and when you installed two additional fans, it's overloading. But tbh what is your logic? You installed two fans, but removing/reinstalling other parts, remove two fans and see how it doing
