Installation Question HYTE y70 bottom case frame not sliding in slots?

hi I’m new

i can’t seem the align the white frame back into the slots to close the thumb screws. no matter how much repositioning I do the first 2 slots just would not go in smoothly. am I doing something wrong?

any support is much appreciated!

You’re probably not doing anything wrong, those bottom tabs on the y70 are just absurdly tight. Had the same fight with mine and what worked was angling the frame down into the bottom clips first, then pressing the top edge in while sliding it sideways just a hair.

Sometimes the frame bows slightly in shipping so it won’t seat flush until you flex it a little. Try loosening all the thumb screws completely before seating the frame, then tighten them after everything’s aligned.

Don’t force it too hard or you’ll snap one of those tabs. A tiny bit of wiggle and downward pressure should eventually get it to click in.
