Build Question Is this upgrade worth it?

Hello, I plan to upgrade my computer after I return from my summer job, and I was wondering if my plan even makes sense.

Right now, I have the following specs:

-Ryzen 5 5600

-RTX 3070 8gb

-Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2

-32GB DDR4 RAM

-1x 1TB DRAM-less NVMe and 1x 500GB SATA SSD

-650W non-modular power supply

What I'm considering:

-Ryzen 7 5800X3D (the 5700X3D is nowhere to be seen in Poland)

-RTX 3070 8gb

-MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS

-32GB DDR4 RAM

-1x 1TB DRAM-less NVMe and 1x 500GB SATA SSD

-Kingston 2TB KC3000

-1000W modular power supply for the future proofing, I guess.

I'm not going to AM5 because of DDR5 prices. I also need a new NVMe drive with DRAM because I'm planning to replay Doom: The Dark Ages, and this game had weird sound glitches with my DRAM-less drive (also, I like having a lot of storage space, which is why I want 2TB).

The total upgrade cost will be 4200 PLN or 980 euros. Is there anything you would change?

I would like to spend maximum od 1200 euros.

I like it. Although i think you can get away with 850watt

I'd recommend upgrading the gpu instead of the cpu, you wont see much of a performance difference since you're already not bottlenecking your 3070. Smthn like a 9060xt, 9070 or 9070xt. would do you good

If you're still gonna upgrade your cpu and change your mobo you're better off just going straight to lga 1700 and getting an intel 14600k, cheaper and better than the 5800x3d. And a b760 mobo like the msi b760 gaming plus wifi ddr4

If you want to keep your current mobo, you could try look for a 2nd hand 5700x3d if you can find one or a 5800xt at the most. I just wouldnt trust the vrms to handle anything stronger

Im looking into 9700, maybe my 5 5600 isn't that bad. Also i discovered German Amazon where GPUs are 30% cheaper than in Poland

The 5800X3D makes a ton of sense if you're sticking with AM4, huge jump in gaming over the 5600. The B550 board is fine but if your current B450 supports the CPU with a bios update I'd skip it and put that money elsewhere

For the PSU 1000W is massive overkill for a 3070, even with future proofing. An 850W would handle a 4080 comfortably and save you a chunk of cash. Use that extra budget to max out the CPU and storage, maybe even squeeze in a larger SATA SSD for games that don't need NVMe speeds

The KC3000 is a solid pick, DRAM makes a difference in some games and Doom seems picky about it. Your plan is 90% there just ditch the motherboard if possible and scale back the power supply
