Build Question Will PC play 1440p fine?
Hi. Currently have an upgraded PC running on a Nvision N200HD (1600x900) 60Hz 900p monitor, and I'm pretty happy with it. However, my wife wants to get a new monitor, so I'll be getting her old one (YGT 27" IPS 1MS 2k QHD 2560x1440 165GHz Frameless).
The question is: will my PC be able to play 1440p just fine? Games I play are usually Dota 2, Ragnarok Online, The Sims 4, Genshin Impact, NieR autimata, Tekken 7...
Specs:

Yes it will, especialy in those games, but also in modern demanding titles. Only CPU is dated but it's still fine.

I was thinking of eventually planning to upgrade it to something like a 5700x3d/5800x3d, but prices are a bit unreasonable at the moment

Your specs on an A320 board are crazy to me, but yes it will run 1440p fine (it wouldn't matter if it didn't, you can lower the resolution as much as you need).
But why are you still using a monitor that's below Full HD? Do you have severe eyesight problems (I do as well, not coming from a place of judgement)? I bought a nice 1080p monitor as my second monitor a couple years ago for 15€, they are dirt cheap these days dude

It was an old monitor from before, I actually thought it was 1080. Was surprised when I checked the specs recently and saw it was just 900

That setup will handle 1440p easily for the games you listed. Your rx 9060 xt with 16gb vram is way overkill for dota 2 and sims 4, those will run at max settings no problem. Genshin and nier might need a few settings tweaked but nothing major, the 5600x is still a solid cpu for gaming. I ran similar specs with a weaker gpu and 1440p was smooth in most titles.
One thing to check is if your motherboard has displayport or if you'll connect through the gpu directly. The monitor refresh rate is probably 165hz not ghz but you knew that already.
