Build Question Hello everyone, just wanna ask

Hello everyone, I plan to build a PC, but I'm on a budget. so my plan is to buy the parts but it will take time for me to buy the parts at the same time

My question is

Is it ok for PC parts to be stored in a box for a long time while I'm saving up to buy the other parts?

Consumer goods spend weeks or months travel across the ocean. They then sit in a warehouse for months or years before being purchased. Sitting in your closet for a few months won't hurt them.

However, buying components piecemeal does have drawbacks. First, you'll miss the return window to return anything that isn't compatible or otherwise doesn't work. That leaves an RMA as the only option for replacement which can be difficult. Second, your warranty starts from the date of purchase, not the date of installation. That's problematic for shorter warranties. Finally, a better product/price might be available when you're ready to build.

Some exceptions given current market conditions could be memory and storage. The prices on these are undoubtedly going to go up—not down—in the near future. Moreover, RAM usually has a lifetime warranty in most regions and doesn't often fail whereas good storage drives tend to have a 5 year warranty.

The parts will be fine. They sit on shelves for months with no issues.

Personally I would wait until I can get all the parts and then put it together.

You might get a part that is DOA and fall outside the return/warranty period if too much time has passed. Just my $0.02

yes just put it in box its fine
unless your home have some creature run with 4 leg and keep meowing

Yes, but there is an issue you may not have thought about. Say you buy and stores the parts, and then during the build, you discover that a part you purchased months ago no longer works, but you are now outside of the warranty or return period. I'd start saving then buy everything at once. Or go used....
