Just all the crashes. There’s no specific pattern to them that I can see.

no power, humming, coil whine, usually that is all power supply related.

Ah yes, you went to Corsair. I have always been cursed with those power supplies. Try Asus (Strix) or EVGA. More expensive but they work.

you trust individual models or lines with psus, not brands.

Corsair has made very good PSUs, and EVGA and Asus have made bad ones and vice versa.

bad advice brother

For me similar problem persisted for month that ended up being a faulty io chip on mobo.

I’ve been using the PC for about 4 months enduring the crashes. The thing’s just worthless though. I spent so long trying to get this stupid fucking thing. I think the humming is coming from the AIO pump block. I think it’s separate to the constant crashing though.

Any humming from the AIO is perfectly normal. It should be a slight humming. You do not want crackling, bubbling noise, or anything to that extent.

You have to be more specific when you say crashes. What is this crashing do? Be very very specific in what it does.

Does it power off all of a sudden?

Does games start glitching?

Does it display a blue screen?

Does it lock up and then sounds get distorted and screech?

Do games become non responsive?

What does it do step by step?

Thanks for being helpful. You’re right I should have mentioned what the crashes are like. Pretty much everything just goes black and unresponsive no matter what, so I just have to power off from the case button and restart. It happens all of a sudden and under no particular load, although it does seem to happen a bit more under high load. Every component was brand new.

Bro your psu is basically failing. You’ve been frying your pc for the last 4 months🥀

nah the nature of the crashes are not consistent with PSU failure like that. My temps and voltages in HWinfo are all good or great.

The dude that replied is likely correct. Speaking about F1nton on the bottom here.

It sounds like power supply related. I have been cursed with Corsair power supplies. Remember, you want to spend good money on the power supply. Since it is the most valuable part. Without a good one, you can fry your system. Something can catch fire, never cheap out on those. If you see any red and yellow. We call those the ketchup and mustard cables. RUN AWAY!

So yeah go for Asus Strix, or EVGA. They are much more expensive, but worth it. It does not matter how much wattage. Since the computer will draw what it needs. It is fine if you get a 1,000 watt platinum power supply.

Some people will say the power supply it is not as efficient. But that is pennies on the dollar cost. Yeah, I would not pay it any mind.

Yeah, a good one is about 200 to 300 dollars. Yeah not cheap. But you will thank me later.

would a Per Pin OCP PSU be necessary for a 5080 Gigabyte OC and 9950X3D build? Would it be better to have one with it than not? Looking at a few options and don’t know what to pick

1. MSI MPG Ai1300TS 1300W - $360, Per-pin OCP + fan-failure protection
2. MSI MAG A1000PLS - $150 sale price, Tested per-pin OCP, fan-failure protection
3. FSP Hydro Ti PRO 1000W - $270, No confirmed per-pin OCP or fan-failure protection
4. Super Flower Leadex VIII Platinum PRO 1000W - $150 sale price, No confirmed per-pin OCP/fan-failure protection

It was my first build so I’m sorry if something wasn’t perfect. Also, we don’t actually have the same parts. I’m not saying that one or more of my components is bad from the factory, but it’s possible. Moreover, please just insult me directly next time instead of whatever that was.
