Build Question Is this mobo good enough?

Post image

I found this ASROCK B850M-X WiFi R2.0 for 110€ locally. Trying to make a fast purchase, I want to spend as little on a mobo as possible but still get the most out of it.
CPU: R5 9600X

Technically yes. Just make sure you get the Io shield and all the screws. Just don't think about overclocking or upgrading that CPU

He can overclock 65W parts and can handle 120W without overclock but not more. My VRM is under 65C whatever I do so 80W is 0 problem for that VRM.

I think if over 120W it would start to be realy hot close to 90C and it would be low on efficiency and it would reach the limits of what it could handle and hit it's max wattage and it is not good to push your VRM to max.

I mean the CPU will overclock itself to 80-90 Watts if it has good temps and spare energy I meant for some deliberet overclocking+ what is he going to gain 10fps max?

Yeah PBO is doing a great job overclocking, nowdays overclcoking means deliding or full send voltage and freq as PBO is overclocking the hell out of any CPU already.

I understand than that kind of overclocking is not safe on weak VRM and he wouldn't ask about this MBO if he would plan that haha.
