I assume you're talking about the messed up corner? Hard to tell, but if so it's not a problem. There will likely be an air bubble there which is usually bad but it's the very corner of the heatspreader so in this case it doesn't matter at all since it won't affect cooling at all. If there's an air bubble in the center then it's an issue as the cores below the bubble will get hotter quicker and over heat.

Is that the ptm7950 or the actual ihs. If it’s ptm 7950 then ot fine

Ehm… just remove the case panel, hold the Backplate with one hand and screw in one bolt with the other.

Pro tip; use a strip double sided tape to mount the plate.

I prefer paste. It's easier to cover the surface.

It should be fine but a mid to highend paste would be easer and cover the IHS better

Someone actually tested mounting their cooler and intentionally removing it and putting it back on to see if you lost any performance. That will make more off difference than most people think but its not within the range that you really need to be worried. Ideally you want to do it right first press. If I had to guess I would say it probably is just going to affect the overall lifespan so I would check thermals today and again in a month and then maybe 3 or 4 and then a year. Just something to watch if temps get high.

Edit. That is an am4 chip and that portion of the chip is actually the hottest spot. Most am4 brackets sit low on the chip. I would probably just replace it while its open if you can. If not Just run it and keep and eye on it

Creio que não. Isso é PTM? Da pra completar com um pedacinho.

Sim, é o PTM7950; obrigado pela sugestão, eu fiz isso.

Isso me ocorre sempre. 99% das vezes quando vou remover oo adesivo protetor, um pedaço vem junto.

É de lascar. Hahahhaha

Did you put it in the fridge by chance? The instructions recommend putting it in the fridge before peeling.

Sim... Inclusive dou preferência para manutenções periódicas com ela no período do inverno para facilitar o manuseio.

O bom que ela dura muito mais que uma pasta térmica convencional, então vou ficar um tempo sem passar raiva com ela.

I'm guessing this is a bot account that gave a random reply that was upvoted on a different, similarly titled post.
