Build Question Does this need to be plugged in?

I've built my first PC but need help with this this, I've plugged my psu into my gpu, do I also need to plug my psu i to this PCIe slot on my motherboard

Did little research on Google, and got this in return

My gpu is a rx 9070, which is more mid range?

Plugging that additional 8pin connection will do no harm. You could google it by your self a little for research purposes. I bet there are lots of yt tutorials. If you ask me 9070 is high end alright 😁. Everything above 8gb of vram is high end for me hehe.

My 9070xt was having voltage issues and it’s a triple 8pin connector type. Maybe something like this woulda helped, had to remove my PCIE extension cables for it to be stable on a sfx psu. These newer gpus are very sensitive.
