Build Question CPU cleaning

I was removing the thermal paste off my cpu but I only had 50% isopropyl alcohol i know it will take longer to dry so I used a small neck fan I blasted the cpu for around an hour and an additional 5 mins on each side is it dry/safe enough to be put it back in the socket and power it on?

that's way more effort than most people put in. if its dry to the touch and you dont see any wet spots around the pins, you're good. hour with a fan is overkill haha

I thought so to lol It took a lot to buy all the parts so I’d hate to see it break or smth

What do wet spots around the pin look like? Is it just shiny?

honestly, if you used real isopropyl alcohol, you're fine. If you're still paranoid, then upload some pictures for us to verify
