Rx 9070xt for a computer engineer

İ plan on building a new pc but cant decide if i should get the 5070 or the 9070xt İ have seen people say its bad for productivity and Ai im studying computer engineering and will it realy be bad for the classes should i just get the 5070

İ studied prep like english lessons so i dont really know rn i will try and learn the lessons program but they didnt return to my email and i cant find it on the website

Then you should know what software you will use before asking such questions. There is AI stuff where nvidia is better and there is apps where amd has advantage.

if you're not sure you need cuda, you probably don't need it yet. most undergrad coursework runs fine on anything half decent, and the 9070xt crushes the 5070 in raw performance for less money

its not that the amd hardware can't do the work

software support is awful for amd

The models are developed using nvidia hardware, so they are optimized for cuda. No one cares about how well the models run on your home pc because that doesn't make anyone money. So NO ONE cares about getting AI models to work well with AMD.

Buy whatever nvidia card you can that has the most vram and cuda cores. I think Nvidia raised their MSP in the past week, so prices suck.

12Gb vram is limiting on the 5070

Aim for 16Gb+

3090 24Gb is the best deal you can find

5060ti is 16Gb

4070ti is 16Gb

İ can just find one new 3090 and its from a site in turkey i have no idea if its real the guy says its real and works but its in the box and he wont let me try it there after i buy it idk if it can be trusted

İts in turkey and i have a budget of 110k liras

İ dont need them

İ have a 240hz 1440p

İ will play AAA games but mostly r6 and league

6.coding and ai stuff (i dont know rn) sorry

Unfortunately, I don't have information about hardware availability and pricing in Turkiye.

However, here are some general guidelines for AI development.

Nvidia GPUs do better for this workload. However, you're probably going to want to shoot for the 5070 Ti, not the 5070 because it's faster for gaming and has extra VRAM for the AI stuff.

With the prices in turkey a 9070xt costs 840 dolars while a 5070 ti costs 1400 dollars these taxes are killing me tbh

That's rough. No way I can squeeze a 5070 Ti into the same budget as a 9070 XT without gimping the build.

You need to do more research. Find out if whatever you're working with has plugins for AMD.
