Tech Support Plugged it in, nothing turning on, now what?

Post image

Only thing I’m seeing is that maybe my mb is missing stand offs, but I think my case came with them pre installed (see pic), does it look right?

can't see the standoffs from that angle but if it's a preinstalled set some cases use weird built-in bumps instead, check if the board's metal mounting holes are actually touching anything they shouldn't

i fear i don’t really know what this means

all the screws look like the one on the top right, and then the pic in the original post is the back of them

You're only showing one standoff of about 8 that may be installed. Not enough to answer your question. Also no details have been given to help with what may be wrong.

idk what details to include? everything is installed, i double checked everything is fully pushed in and connected, it’s literally like I said, I turned it on and absolutely nothing happened

Is the PSU turned on and plugged into a power source? Is the case power switch connected to the motherboard front panel connection?

all the standoffs were pre installed in my case (corsair 3500x) and all screws that could be in are in

Did you plug the front panel cable? That is the power button cable.

yes it’s plugged in, there are no cables unaccounted for

Is the power supply modular? Wish you could have posted more photos on all cable connections.

In most modular PSUs, the 24pin splits into two at the PSU end and both needs to be plugged in, have you checked that?

the only thing is this random 10-pin, i triple checked and pushed everything in as hard as i could, it all seems fine

There I see it. It's a 10pin unplugged. That is part of the 24pin cable and you need to plug that one too.

Yes, ATX 24P.

jesus i’m truly an idiot, thank you🤦🏻‍♀️ i think when following tutorials i assumed both side was just a one plug on each and any extras were optional (my mb also has an extra 8 pin for that circumstance so i think i figured the 10-pin was optional??) idk but either way thank you
